What does your body need to heal meditation?
Finding a comfortable seated position,
Or even relaxing on your back,
Closing your eyes,
Tuning into your breaths,
Becoming aware of your inhalations,
Your exhalations,
Noticing how the breath feels as you breathe in,
Notice how warm the breath is as you breathe out,
And then scan your body from head to toe,
Notice where there's areas of stress,
Tension,
Aches or pains,
Keep on breathing,
Taking a moment to think about why are those areas filled with stress,
Tension,
Aches or pains.
Ask yourself honestly,
What does my body need to release stress,
To let go of tension,
To relieve aches and pains.
Does your body need to slow down?
Does it need to rest?
Does it need love and care?
If your health condition could talk,
What would it say it needs?
Does it need more of something?
More downtime,
Unplugging,
More time in nature,
More vegetables,
More water,
Or does it need less of something?
Are you overworked?
Do you say yes to too many things?
Maybe you need less stimulus and more rest.
Less noise and more silence.
Maybe less negativity,
More positivity.
And can you shift your thought patterns instead of repeating a negative thought,
Phrase,
Or memory,
Replacing it with a positive one?
Honestly asking yourself these questions and listening for the answer.
The wisdom is there within you.
All you need to do is listen for it,
Trust it.
Trust it.
The hardest part is implementing what it suggests.
This may be a meditation that you have to do a few times,
Maybe with a pen and paper,
Jot down some notes,
Jot down what comes up.
Coming back into your breath,
Taking a few slow deep breaths.
And whenever you're ready,
Allow the eyes to flutter open.
Coming back into the room.
