Welcome to this gentle reminder where we connect as human beings living under this blue sky and walking on this sacred earth.
As usual,
As you listen to this audio,
Feel yourself,
Feel your breath,
Feel your body.
Where are you standing?
Where are you sitting?
And just stay present with these sensations as you listen to my voice.
So today I want to talk about the wound beneath all wounds because I have been feeling it moving inside of me,
Quietly shaping the way I perceive myself and even the way I move through life.
And the wound beneath all wounds is the belief that there is something wrong with me,
I'm not okay,
I should be better at,
It can be many aspects or variations of the same belief that we are not okay as we are here today,
That there's something wrong with us,
Inherently wrong from the inside as we are here today.
This wound reveals the lack of self-love and self-acceptance that is steering the waters underneath and it It's such a sneaky belief and such a sneaky want because it shifts and changes form.
Recently,
I've been feeling just a little bit off.
I couldn't quite put my finger on why.
There was just this subtle,
Gnawing feeling bothering me from deep inside.
And then,
While I was teaching a yoga class,
Out of the blue,
It came to me.
I am again believing that there is something wrong with me,
That I am not good enough and that I should know more about somatics.
It was so interesting when it came because there it was.
Being very honest with myself,
I've been comparing myself to a close friend,
Seeing myself not through what I bring but through what I lack.
It felt like catching that mosquito that's really annoying me at night.
And the beauty is that there is nothing to do with this.
There is nothing to fix,
Nothing to get rid of.
Seeing it is enough.
Being with it is enough.
Giving it presence is enough.
Because by doing this,
We are shining the light of awareness.
The light of awareness does not fight the darkness.
The darkness disappears because the light is present.
So my invitation for today and any other day is to be with all of those bits of you that may feel a bit more awkward or a bit harder to accept.
Just bring in presence without needing to fix,
Change anything.
Remembering that all parts of you deserve to be witnessed.
Thank you.
So thank you for joining this gentle reminder,
Sending blessings on your path.
