This is a meditation to reconnect with your why.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position either sitting upright on a chair with your feet firmly planted on the ground or seated on the floor in a cross-legged position or lying down.
Find a position that's comfortable,
That's safe,
That's quiet.
Let's just breathe in slowly.
Now I invite you to put one hand over your heart and one hand on your belly and as you breathe in deeply feel your belly extending against your hand and as you breathe out feel your belly contract.
Let's focus on your hand that's over your heart.
Imagine a ball of light forming in your heart.
You can feel the warmth against your hand.
Imagine that ball of light expanding until it covers your whole chest.
Feel its warmth.
Feel its radiance.
Feel its power.
Now imagine that ball of light expanding until it encompasses your entire body.
See yourself in this energetic field of light,
Of warmth,
Of power.
Really feel it in your heart and as you picture yourself in this ball of light with one hand on your heart and another in your belly,
Really focus on your heart as you ask yourself this question,
What is my why?
And just breathe into whatever comes up.
Maybe it's the same image you saw.
Maybe it's the same feeling you had when you first felt into your why.
Maybe this time you don't feel anything at all.
Really allow yourself the space to accept whatever may or may not come up.
Breathe into it.
As you inhale,
Really feel your belly extend,
Pushing against your hand.
And as you exhale,
Really feel your belly contract as your hand goes down.
Breathe into your why.
Breathe into whatever is coming up for you.
Continue to breathe into it.
And as you do so,
Imagine the light that's starting from your heart grow even brighter,
So bright that extends beyond you.
It encompasses the entire room that you're in.
Imagine it burning even brighter until it goes out into the world,
Until it goes out into the universe.
With your hand still on your heart,
Really,
Really feel the brightness of that light that started from your heart.
Let's breathe into this why with three deep breaths.
Inhaling in and exhaling out slowly.
Inhaling and exhaling slowly.
One last time.
Inhaling,
Exhaling slowly.
And when you're ready,
With gratitude,
We slowly open our eyes.
