This track is part of the Lead Intact® 3-Minute Re-Center series — short guided audios to help you pause, breathe, and lead yourself from alignment. Each of these quick 3–4 minute resets gives you just enough time to slow down, ground, and come back to yourself — no rush, no fluff. Feeling weighed down by everyone else’s expectations? This 3-minute practice helps you separate what’s truly yours to carry from what’s not. With honesty, humor, and compassion, you’ll notice the old thought loops that keep you stuck (“I have to do it all myself!”) and learn to reclaim your energy by owning only what’s actually yours. Because real leadership isn’t about blame — it’s about truth and freedom.

Hi,

I'm Laura Dionisio,

Founder of Lead & Tack.

Welcome to the 3-Minute Recenter,

A mini audio series designed to help you pause,

Breathe,

And come back to yourself.

Each track walks you through one pillar of the Lead & Tack model,

Awareness,

Accountability,

And aligned action.

These are quick resets for when you're feeling stuck,

Overwhelmed,

Or just a little disconnected from yourself.

You don't need anything fancy,

Just a few minutes,

Your breath,

And a willingness to be honest with what's true right now.

So get comfortable or keep walking if you're on the move and let's begin.

Hey,

It's Laura.

Welcome back.

This is your accountability shift.

Let's start with a breath.

Inhale.

Hold it for a beat.

Exhale it all out.

Now remember,

Awareness and accountability go hand in hand.

If you don't shift your awareness,

It'll be almost impossible to shift your accountability.

Think about it.

If your subconscious programming,

Those quiet,

Sneaky thoughts,

Are running the show,

They're also running how you feel.

And if you don't see that,

You'll keep trying to fix things that were never yours to fix.

So let's get real for a second.

What are the thoughts that play on repeat in your mind?

Maybe it sounds like,

Ugh,

I have to do everything myself,

Or if I don't do it,

It won't get done right,

Or my manager keeps changing their mind.

Why can't they just decide already?

Take a breath here.

These thoughts are old programming,

Patterns that once protected you,

But now just keep you over-functioning and exhausted.

So let's get curious.

What would it look like if that story wasn't true anymore?

If the new programming was,

I can ask for help and still be strong,

Or I trust that things can get done well without me micromanaging,

Or I can lead with clarity even when others are uncertain.

How would you then decide what's yours to own versus what's not?

Would you still be holding all the emotional weight for everyone else?

Would you still be proving yourself every minute?

Or could you finally exhale and let it all go?

If the new programming feels too far away or hard to believe,

Use a qualifier,

Yet,

For now,

Or until now.

For example,

I haven't trusted others to help until now.

Those three qualifying words make space for change without forcing it.

Now take one more slow,

Deep breath.

Inhale,

Hold,

And exhale.

Imagine gathering up all the energy you've scattered trying to control,

Fix,

Or please,

And bring it back home to you.

You don't need to carry everyone else's emotional laundry.

They've got their own basket.

Owning what's yours and only what's yours is the ultimate freedom.

This is the second pillar of the lead and tack model,

Accountability.

This is leadership,

Not the performative kind,

But the kind that starts with truth.

Nice work,

My friend.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to recenter with me.

If this helped you feel a little clearer,

Calmer,

Or more grounded,

Follow me here on Insight Timer for more short practices and mindful resets.

Keep leading from within.

One breath,

One choice,

One moment at a time.
