As we head into the holiday season,
I can see that I'm feeling a little bit tired.
I'm feeling a little bit tired.

So we're going to start with our chair meditation.
As we head into the holiday season,
I think it's so important to have the skill of really looking and seeking what it means to us to show up in a cheerful place,
Especially given some of the challenges we've all been facing.
To a comfortable seated position.
If it's comfortable for you gently closing your eyes or softening your gaze.
Finding a neutral breath even inhales and exhales.
Imagine yourself sitting in a warm and comfortable space.
Your ideal space for peace and comfort.
Just creating that space in your mind while you breathe here.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Now imagining a beautifully wrapped gift in front of you.
The most beautiful package you have ever seen.
Taking in the texture,
Color of the paper.
If there is a bow or a tag.
And now as you gently remove the top of the gift box,
Peering inside.
And as you peer inside you see memories as they rise up to meet you.
It's as if a movie is playing before you.
In this space calling up the felt sense of joy and cheer.
A moment where you felt completely present and full of radiant happiness.
Calling up a memory where you felt this type of joy.
Really seeing that here in your mind.
Experiencing the sounds,
Emotions,
Sensations,
Smells and even taste of that set of moments.
Seeing the gift of that moment,
That memory and breathing evenly on an inhale and an exhale.
Now placing that felt sense in your body,
In your cells.
Every cell full of joy.
Allowing the memories and moments of joy to just flit across the movie screen of your mind.
Pausing to re-experience these moments if only for a second.
Taking this time to just reflect and enjoy your moments just like this for a few moments more.
Breathing here again on an even inhale and even exhale.
As you reflect and recall,
Felt sense of joy and happiness.
And now pausing here to just allow the felt sense of joy and cheer to be present in your body.
What do you notice?
How does that emotion feel in your body,
In your heart?
Now as you peer more deeply into the box you see a red satin pillowy inside.
Where you intuitively know that you were intended to place your gifts.
Here are the wishes you have for yourself,
The ones you love and the world at large.
Beginning with the wishes and tensions and gifts you would like for yourself,
Your life.
Calling them up as you do so.
Placing them in the box lovingly gently with reverence.
Taking a moment to just call awareness to those gifts to yourself as you place them gently in the box.
Coming back to the breath on an inhale and an exhale.
Taking a moment here to send your wishes,
Your memories and love to those you love and cherish.
In your mind creating symbols for those gifts or just placing the thoughts in the box as you count them off.
One gift of grace for whomever in your life could use it.
Second gift of love and peace for whoever in your life could use it.
In your own mind in your own time counting the gifts and placing them in the box.
Now taking time here pack up all of your gifts,
Wishes and intentions for others and see,
Feel you giving those gifts as you place them in the box.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Imagining your wishes for the community where you live,
The state where you reside,
The world at large.
Creating wishes and intentions for all of those people and placing those two inside the box.
As you peer into the box here are the wishes you have for yourself,
The ones you love in the world.
You can see and feel the joy,
The love radiating from the box as you pick up the lid and place it on top again.
Seeing that most beautiful gift in your mind,
Imagine now placing it inside your heart where it will be accessible anytime you need a reminder,
A reset for joy and cheer.
As a motivator for sending love and joy in your memory on how to receive gifts.
Stowing that gift inside your heart space and seeing it surrounded in radiant light as you can feel the cheer and joy.
Slowly beginning to come back into your space,
Your body.
Gently wiggling fingers and toes,
Feeling the sense of the body where you are seated or lying down.
As you breathe through the here on an inhale and exhale.
Inhaling love and exhaling joy.
Inhaling love and exhaling joy.
Inhaling love and exhaling joy.
Taking a moment to let that sense vibrate through your entire body.
Imagining how you will hold on to this energy,
This gift as we head into our holiday season.
