Welcome into our meditation,
Connect in Moments of Rest.
And I am so excited to be sharing a space with all of you today,
Where we can address this concept of taking time to be in restful spaces.
And I invite you,
As we begin our journey here today,
To lie down or take a nice seated posture with a tall spine,
If you can,
Whatever is comfortable.
And I invite you to close your eyes or soften your gaze so that you can bring all of that attention inward.
And begin to just notice the breath.
Begin to just tap into the breath.
You can elongate the exhale just a little bit each breath.
Getting in and exhaling out just a little bit longer than the inhale.
Beginning to tell your nervous system that all is well.
And that your body can relax and be in this moment.
And to connect to some moments of rest here.
And I invite you into our journey today by becoming deeply aware of the state of your physical being.
Just noting how your body is feeling in this moment.
Without judgment.
Just observing and witnessing.
What is the state of the physical body?
An outer layer of being.
And as you recognize that,
Now releasing that aspect of your experience as we move more deeply into the mind.
Just taking note of how the mind space is feeling and showing up today.
Might check in with your emotions,
Your thoughts.
How we are experiencing that right now,
Just noticing again with no judgment.
Just curiosity.
And now just releasing that layer of awareness.
We go deeper yet into the layer of intuition.
As beyond our thoughts.
Just sinking into that space.
Realizing how the intuition and wisdom are showing up today.
And releasing this layer now,
We move more deeply into our connection to something bigger than ourselves.
Universal life force.
Something that you can see mirrored right in your heart space.
Working in with that layer,
What are you bringing in today?
As we begin our journey today,
We set the tone with our practice.
With setting an intention or sankalpa,
Either creating your own or you can plant the seed of my thought using my words as your words if they resonate.
Saying it three times in repetition to send it all the way through the layers of our being.
I am grateful to experience moments of peace and rest for it is in these moments where my higher self can recharge in order to connect with his divinity and purpose.

So finding that place of stillness,
Making any final adjustments to your body,
Props or environment to be that much more comfortable.
And as I suggest bringing awareness to the various body parts in this meditation,
I invite you to still find that place of stillness and we're only alighting the awareness,
The mind in those spaces,
But our physical body,
That physical layer will stay in a place of rest.
So we begin our journey today by bringing our awareness to the right thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger and fifth finger.
Bringing awareness to the palm and the whole right hand,
The whole right hand.
Paying special attention to the spaces where the fingers meet the hand.
Right of awareness where the fingers meet the hand.
And now placing awareness in the left thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger and fifth finger.
Bringing awareness to the palm and the whole left hand,
The whole left hand.
Paying special attention to the spaces where the fingers meet the hand.
Light of awareness where the fingers meet the hand.
Begin breathing in this moment and bringing the breath to the right wrist,
Elbow,
Armpit and shoulder.
Healing light of awareness in the whole right arm,
The whole right arm.
Placing awareness in the spaces where the arm meets the shoulder.
Healing light of awareness where the arm meets the shoulder.
And now taking that awareness and placing it in the left wrist,
Elbow,
Armpit and shoulder.
Healing light of awareness in the whole left arm,
The whole left arm.
And next bringing that awareness in the space where the arm meets the shoulder.
Healing light of awareness where that left arm meets the shoulder.
And taking note here in the healing light of energy,
Moving from the shoulders as it travels upward into the throat,
Mouth,
Cheeks,
Jaw,
Eyes,
Forehead and all the way up into the crown of the head.
Healing light of awareness,
Moving up and into the face and the crown.
Bringing awareness to the very top of the crown,
Noting the space at the top of the crown.
Noticing here the energy is swirling in that head space and the crown.
You may even sense a vibration,
Tingling or feathering of energy in the head as the energy is moving and filling the whole head,
The whole head filled with healing light of awareness.
Bringing that sense of awareness to where the head and neck meet the shoulders.
Placing awareness there where the neck meets the shoulders.
And now that energy is shifting once again,
Flowing back down into the chest.
Placing the awareness now in the chest and heart space.
Really noticing the whole chest and heart space.
Bringing awareness to the right side of the chest and then the left side of the chest.
And the right side of the chest and once again the left side of the chest.
And now noting the whole of the chest,
The whole of the chest.
Starting to notice where there is space in the chest.
And now bringing that light of awareness to the heart space,
Imagining you can sense the internal chambers of the heart as it beats.
Just staying with this for a few moments as you breathe,
Sensing the heartbeat or imagine you do the healing light,
The awareness and the heartbeat of the space and the heartbeat.
We define the word sela today as the moments or pauses before something miraculous or beautiful is going to happen.
And as you tap into that chest and the heart space and the heartbeat,
Really pausing in that sela to notice the miracle of your heart space.
This incredible energy center of electricity and faith,
Unconditional love,
Positive regard,
Deep kindness.
And there is something incredibly miraculous about the heart.
So as you breathe here and notice that heartbeat,
Pausing in a moment of sela to tap into the miracle of your heart space.
And now focusing on this expansion of the chest with the breath,
Rising the falling of the chest,
Healing light of awareness and the rising and the falling of the chest as you breathe the miracle of the breath,
Light of awareness in the chest as you breathe,
Pausing for the sela in this space in the chest and the lungs,
The space of the breath.
And now that energy is moving down into the torso and belly,
Sensing the healing light of awareness moving down into the belly,
Bringing the awareness into the expansion of the belly as you breathe,
Noticing the rise and fall of the belly as the healing light of awareness fills the space of the upper and lower belly.
And now placing that light of awareness in the pelvis,
Hips and seat,
The base of our being,
The root subtle energy space,
Really feeling that energy moving in the pelvis,
Hips and seat,
Filling that root space with healing light of awareness.
And sensing in this space the connection to the legs,
Space for the legs connect with the base of the body,
Healing light of awareness in the space where the energy flows from the base of the body and down into the legs.
And now sensing the healing light of awareness in the right thigh and then the left thigh,
Noticing the light of awareness in the right thigh and the left thigh,
Noticing the spaces in the thighs,
Imagining the spaces in the thighs.
As the energy and awareness flows down into the knees,
The right knee and the left knee and the right knee and the left knee,
Facing that healing light of awareness in the spaces of both of the knees,
Sensing the connection through the knees from the upper legs into the lower legs,
Noticing here the space of the knees.
And placing awareness now as it flows from the knees into the lower legs,
The right shin and calf,
The right shin and calf,
Now bringing that awareness to the left shin and calf,
The left shin and calf,
And sensing the spaces between the shins and the calves,
Healing light of awareness in the spaces between the shins and the calves,
Breathing here in the light of awareness,
The light of awareness as the energy is flowing down to the feet,
Noting the spaces where the legs meet the feet,
Placing that healing light of awareness where the legs meet the feet.
And now noting the energy flowing from these spaces into the heels,
Arches and balls of the feet,
First noting the right foot and noting the energy flowing into the left heel,
Arch and ball of the foot,
And sensing that healing light of awareness flowing into the toes,
All of the toes filled with healing light of awareness,
Pausing here taking a moment to notice the spaces between the toes,
Sensing the healing light of awareness between the toes,
And as the body fills with light of awareness,
It is filled with moments of rest,
Deep pause,
And sela,
Creating a space for moments of rest,
The beautiful pause in our journey.
Now breathing in this peaceful place and noticing the connections in the body,
The head to the neck,
The neck to the shoulders,
Shoulders to the arms,
The arms into the hands,
The hands into the fingers,
And the connection between the shoulders and the chest,
Chest to the torso,
And torso to the belly,
The belly to the root center,
From the root center and hips into the legs,
Places where the upper legs and lower body meet,
Noticing that connection,
Creating a moment of rest in that connection,
Sensing the connection now where the legs meet the knees and the spaces where the knees connect to the lower legs,
The lower legs flowing into spaces where the ankles connect to the feet,
And the feet to the toes,
Really sensing a powerful flow of energy from head to toe and filling all the spaces of the body.
Pausing in this beautiful moment of rest,
A sense of sela,
Something powerful coming to fruition in this stillness.
And now I invite you to imagine the moments when you're the most relaxed,
The most at peace,
Really feeling the experience of being relaxed and at peace.
Perhaps it's in a chair with a book,
Walking on the beach,
Hiking in the mountains,
Driving with the windows down,
And really sensing that place in the body and the place in the mind where you can experience that restful nature,
The spaces and the moments.
Recalling a favorite vacation or place where you feel most deeply rested,
Most deeply connected,
Sensing the vibration of what it feels like to have your soul resting.
Nothing to do but being present in this moment.
What does it feel like to have your soul resting?
Noting that you and the very soul of your being are made up of rest,
Of peace,
Stillness,
Sela,
Of a quiet like that of a library or church,
Somewhere sacred where you feel deeply connected and rooted.
Giving yourself some time here in this beautiful quiet and serenity,
Just breathing as you tap into that stillness.
Can you find the pauses and the breath as one leads into the next?
Can you create a sense of awe in the pauses in between the breaths and the moments?
Can we know that sela is a sacred space and pause where magic lives to indicate something profound?
Can you sense that sela in the body?
Where do you sense the profound stillness of sela in the body?
Pausing here as you breathe in the sacred moment to notice where you feel that in your body.
From that sacred center of connection,
Can you send that sela energy out into every cell of the body,
Filling the entire body with the pause,
The breath,
The stillness,
A deep connection with your soul?
Can you fill the entire body,
Every cell,
With that space and peace?
And now taking that profound connection and sela energy,
I invite you to press outward with your stillness,
More of a vibration than an action.
Pressing that stillness outward so that every single aspect of your body can experience peace and connection.
The beautiful pause of this moment.
And listening now,
Where do you hear something in this stillness?
Is it a silence or is there a beautiful sound that resonates through the body like a hum or tone?
Waiting for that here as you breathe in the moment of stillness.
What does peace and stillness feel like?
Does it have a texture?
Is it color?
What is rest like in this sela soul space?
Seeing here the breath,
The connection between the body and the soul,
The movement of energy,
How there is a sense of a sweet space,
A focused awareness,
Perhaps the center of your bliss.
How in this profound quiet and peace,
Your highest self is seated,
The spark of divinity,
The light of your soul,
Just seated right there in the stillness,
Holding space for you to show up and connect,
To see that this space of rest,
Of pause is truly accessible to you anytime you need it.
When you need to return to your soul home,
Taking the journey inward to that sweet sela.
May your selas the quiet before the explosion of light and love is expelled,
Before your absolute spark of life is released,
Like anticipating a celebration and the grand becoming of who you are.
Breathing here as you celebrate the sela of your being,
The peace,
Quiet,
Gentleness of your soul,
Pausing here as you breathe to take that in.
Noticing the buoyancy of your soul,
The lightness of it within your physical presence is a sweet secret,
So very much can happen in a whisper,
A stillness,
And a moment of rest.
Breathing here in that stillness and sweetness and the rest of the soul.
And returning to our sankopa that we set for practice,
Using my words,
The short words that they resonate,
I am grateful to experience moments of peace and rest,
For it is in these moments where my Higher Self can re-charge,
And order to connect with his divinity and purpose.

And letting that sink and settle through the layers of your being,
In this space of rest.
You begin to slowly return to the earth body,
The physical body.
And sensing the muscles and bones and how they root you in the physical plane.
Taking a moment to coordinate the physical body,
The sense of peace,
Of rest and connection.
Seeing that we can carry that sense of sale,
That sense of pause and peace within our souls.
Even we're deeply linked to the moment and our physical being,
Taking that sense of peace with us.
And noticing how you are feeling right now,
Just noticing the magic of this sacred journey.
Bringing awareness to the breath in your body as it expands the chest,
Ribs and belly.
Taking in vital life force energy.
Beginning to run the thumbs across the ends of the fingertips.
Facing awareness in the fingers and hands.
You might rub your hands together,
Place them over that heart space for a moment.
And the final moments of our soul,
Peace and rest just in this space.
Just for this moment,
Savoring the vibration experience.
Considering here how you will take this felt sense of having connected to that internal rest and soul space.
A pause in the moment right before something profound and magical takes place.
I invite you to bring your hands to a prayer position at heart center if that resonates for you.
As we gently close our practice,
I encourage you to stay connected to your salish space of sense of rest and peace where you recharge in order to step fully into that purpose and highest self.

Connecting us to the profound space of rest and of the moment from a place of love and light.
