Hello,
Welcome to this sleep story to unwind before bed.
My name is Lara and I'll be guiding you tonight.
And if you haven't already,
Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting upright with a straight spine or maybe lying down on your back to help prepare yourself for sleep.
Allow your eyes to gently close and go ahead and place your hands with the palms facing down somewhere on the body.
This will help you to feel grounded and supported.
Let's take three deep inhales and slow exhales together,
So empty any air out.
And big,
Slow breath in,
Really filling the belly with air.
And through the mouth,
Slowly exhale.
Again,
Long,
Deep inhale,
Imagining oxygen moving into every inch and cell of the body.
And let it out,
Maybe with a sigh.
Last one,
Deep breath in.
And exhale,
Maybe letting something go.
Beautiful.
You can let your breath fall back into its natural rhythm.
To help our mind and body start preparing for sleep,
We're going to take a visit to beautiful Sedona,
Arizona.
Sedona is a magical place where people come to nourish their mind,
Body,
And spirit.
At night,
You can find fire pits outside,
Surrounded by nature.
From here,
You can see the outline of the magnificent Red Rock Mountains and sky full of twinkling stars.
Sitting outside,
You can smell the comforting blend of fresh mountain air,
The crackling fire,
And roasting of marshmallows.
Sedona at night is peaceful,
Like a still lake in the middle of a forest.
You find your whole body relaxes and softens here.
You gaze up at the expansive sky and see a bright shooting star,
Knowing this means your deepest wish is coming true.
And with that,
You know it's time to drift off into a dream.
And so you let yourself be lulled into a deep,
Restful sleep.
Sweet dreams,
My friend.
