Hello and welcome to this bedtime gratitude practice to help you fall asleep feeling positive and peaceful about your day.
If you haven't already,
Find a comfortable position for you.
Maybe lying down on your back as you prepare your body for sleep.
Once you're there,
Allow your eyes to gently close,
And I invite you to bring one hand to the heart and one hand to the belly.
And start to take slower,
Deeper breaths down into the belly.
Signaling to your mind and body that it's time to rest.
And then moving from the top of the head down all the way to the fingertips and toes.
Soften anywhere there may be tension or gripping.
So starting at the top of the head and relaxing the forehead.
Allowing the mind to quiet behind it.
Feel how nice it is for the eyes to rest.
Soften the jaw and maybe even sigh or yawn here.
Continue moving down,
Relaxing the shoulders.
Allow the belly to totally soften.
Relaxing your seat,
Hips and legs.
You Allowing the entire body to soften.
Beautiful.
Now what's one thing from your day that you genuinely feel grateful for?
Maybe it's just that you got through the day.
Maybe it's that the sun was shining.
Or you got to cuddle a pet.
Maybe it's that you had enough to eat.
It doesn't matter what it is.
But what's something you genuinely feel grateful for today?
Focus on whatever it is that came to mind.
And just breathe into that feeling of gratitude.
Notice what bringing our attention to something of genuine gratitude can do to our being.
And let that feeling of gratitude grow and fill you.
Allowing feelings of peace to come with it.
Beautiful.
I invite you now to say thank you for anything else you'd like to.
Thank you to life.
To certain people or things that made your day better.
And thank you to yourself.
For all the ways that you showed up.
You Beautiful.
Now allow yourself to just bathe in these positive feelings for a couple minutes.
There's nothing else you need to do.
You can simply allow yourself to feel this peace and gratitude.
Because you are worthy of it.
You Good.
Allow this gratitude and peace to totally quiet the mind and soften the body.
Trusting that it will follow you into tomorrow.
Every breath now takes you deeper into rest.
And I wish you the most peaceful,
Restorative sleep.
Sweet dreams.
