Let's get into your practice.

Today's practice is dedicated to you connecting to this simple moment.

I know you're busy.

You know you're busy.

And instead of telling yourself you can't practice,

Let's allow this moment to be the only moment that matters.

Go ahead and take an inhale.

And now I'm going to guide you through a simple practice to get you centered so you can continue on with your day with your kids and your family.

Allow yourself to settle in to the space where you're at.

Allowing your eyes to close for just a moment.

Allowing the eyelids to close down.

Allowing yourself to be in this moment and begin feeling the breath move through your nose.

Notice the breath moving through your nose.

And on the exhale,

Release gently through your mouth,

Opening your mouth,

Allowing the jaw to hang open effortlessly.

And the breath moves like a circle,

Inhaling all the way up.

And exhaling,

Allowing the breath to move out.

And in your mind's eye,

Begin to visualize a bud,

A flower.

Bring that up in the corner of your mind,

Your favorite flower.

And allow your visual preferences to drop that flower into the palms of your hands.

And the breath continues to move in and out.

And the only thing that you're focusing on is that flower in the palm of your hands and your breath.

And the breath moves in and out.

And you begin to recognize that the flower opens slightly.

With every inhale,

It begins to expand.

And as you exhale,

The bud drops slightly.

And the mind's eye focuses on that flower growing,

On the inhale expanding.

And the exhale loosens the bud.

And the breath continues to move in and out.

And finally,

Allowing the flower to bloom effortlessly with your breath.

Every breath,

That flower gets a little bit bigger in the palms of your hands.

And you're holding that flower in full bloom,

And you recognize the beauty and the strength of that bud that bloomed into you.

And breathing,

Letting go of anything that passes through the thoughts.

Allow them to simmer and move through you.

With your next breath,

You begin to hold the flower and begin to close the hands,

The palms of the hands.

And as you do that,

The flower begins to melt into the palms of the hands.

And the hands become one with the petals of the flower.

Allow the moment to pass through you.

And the color fills the fingers and the arms,

Allowing the color to move through the body in total peace.

Knowing that your breath has transformed you,

Inhaling,

Exhaling,

Knowing that this practice is yours.

Knowing you can come back to this practice again and again.

The gift of meditation is a practice that we give ourselves.

It's a deep practice of gratitude.

Knowing that this time was spent with love.

And take an inhale here,

Realizing the transformation is set and the body is whole and the breath is yours.

Allow yourself to open your eyes when you're ready and only when you're ready.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

I hope you'll come back and listen to another episode of Recover Like a Mother.

Thank you and take good care.

Bye for now.
