Welcome,

This is a beautiful and simple breathwork meditation to bring you into a beautiful relaxation state,

A place of calmness within,

To drop you out of that state of overwhelm and heightened sensitivity and burnout.

I want you to just get into a comfortable position,

Preferably sitting up in a chair or on a meditation cushion or on your bed,

Whatever is suiting you in this moment.

I want you to close your eyes down and just take a moment to connect in with where you are on a sensory level,

What you're sitting on,

How that feels,

The temperature,

The quality of your breath,

Just observing all of these things within you.

Before we begin the breathwork,

It's a simple,

Beautiful technique called straw breath.

You can purse your lips or use your curled up tongue like a straw,

Whatever suits you.

We'll be breathing in for 80% of the lung capacity and breathing out through the nose for the 20%.

We don't want to feel nervous about that difference and we just want to allow the breath to be natural and slow but just consciously allowing your breath in to be longer and the breath out to be shorter.

Curling your lips,

Pursing them or curling your tongue,

Breathing in through the straw,

Allowing yourself to hear the sound of the breath going in and out through your body,

Allowing yourself time to get used to this breath,

Allowing your thoughts to melt away.

If you like to,

You're welcome to place your hands on your belly or over your heart,

Left first and then right over the top,

Just connecting in with your body.

On the inhalation,

You are visualising,

Revitalising your body with beautiful,

Nourishing oxygen.

On the exhalation,

You're letting go of any stale,

Stagnant energy.

Breathing in the vitality of life,

Exhaling anything that needs to fall away.

Breathing in,

Allowing your heartbeat to slow down.

Exhaling,

Letting go of any tension and anxiety.

Inhaling,

Allowing yourself to slow right down into this time and place.

Exhaling,

Feeling your connection to the earth,

Releasing anything that you need to release that doesn't serve you.

Inhaling and allowing yourself to feel stable and calm.

Exhaling any anxiety,

Any heightened awareness and sensitivities,

Inhaling as we activate the parasympathetic nervous system and exhaling any of that flight,

Fright and freeze of the sympathetic nervous system.

Inhaling as we activate the parasympathetic nervous system.

Exhaling the flight,

Fright and freeze of the sympathetic nervous system.

Inhaling as we allow this breath to enhance the quality of our sleep and exhaling any worries that have kept you awake.

Inhaling and exhaling,

Allowing the breath of the straw breath to wash over you and through you and all around you.

Inhaling as we stimulate our digestion of emotions and nutrients and everything around us.

Exhaling any indigestion and anything that no longer serves us.

Inhaling all of the absorption of nutrients and minerals that nourish us.

Exhaling everything that doesn't nourish us.

Inhaling a vibrant immune system.

Exhaling any toxins.

Inhaling vibrancy and health and wellbeing.

Exhaling any dis-ease,

Illness and negative thoughts.

Allowing yourself to continue this breath.

Allowing the sense of calmness to overcome you,

To surround you.

Allowing yourself to feel like you're floating,

You're a beautiful and light being.

Your burdens have turned into blessings.

Your fears have melted away into love.

You're now full of resilience as you've let go of reactivity and you're letting go of inauthenticity as you show up as yourself with full authenticity.

Letting go of living a lie of people pleasing.

Allowing yourself to be entirely you,

To shine as you.

Moving from doing to being.

Moving from judgement to acceptance.

Allowing your heartbeat to be beautiful and slow.

Allowing your blood pressure to be calm and stable.

Welcoming in this state of calmness,

Rest and digestion.

Allowing yourself to just come into stillness.

Allowing your breath to return to its normal rhythm in any way that you choose.

In and out through the nose or the mouth.

You may want to relax on your back for a moment.

Just observing any changes in your body,

Your mind,

Your spirit,

Your heart.

Feeling this vibration.

Connecting to this feeling.

This is yours at any time that you need it.

Feel free to repeat this meditation in the morning,

In the evening to tune up your vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system to call in that state of calmness and concentration and love and peace that is yours.

All yours.

And when you're ready,

Slowly connecting with your body.

You may want to connect your hands over your legs.

Connecting with the senses.

Slowly moving your shoulders.

Rolling your head and your hands and your ankles and your lower spine.

Bringing in some movement.

And if your hands aren't already over your heart,

Just bringing them to your heart and sending a blessing to yourself.

Sending a blessing to everyone around you.

Sending a blessing to your family and friends and colleagues and daily interactions.

Sending blessings to your larger community and country.

And going further,

Expanding your blessings to all nations,

All countries,

All people,

All diversities,

All genders,

All identities,

All faiths,

All religions.

Sending your blessings to everyone and every being.

And slowly opening your eyes when you're ready.

And moving back into your world with this beautiful state of calmness within.
