Aham Brahmasmi is a Sanskrit phrase significant in Hindu philosophy.

Its depth and wisdom lie in its translation which conveys profound truths about the nature of self and the universe.

When translated into English the phrase Aham Brahmasmi means I am the divine or I am the ultimate reality or I am Brahman.

In the vast ocean of Hindu scriptures and teachings Aham Brahmasmi shines as a beacon revealing the interconnectedness between the individual and the cosmic consciousness.

It is a powerful reminder that the true essence of our being is not separate from the supreme reality or divine existence.

In other words it encapsulates the belief that our inner nature is inseparably connected to the higher power that pervades the entire universe.

These simple words Aham Brahmasmi carry the weight and depth of the entire Hindu philosophical tradition.

They serve as a constant affirmation of our inherent divinity and the limitless potential within us.

By embracing this mantra one is encouraged to recognize and acknowledge one's true nature as a reflection of divine consciousness.

Realizing this unity can be transformative helping us cultivate a sense of oneness and interconnectedness with all beings in the universe.

By embracing the truth that I am the divine we can tap into our inner wisdom and love to create a life that aligns with our higher purpose and greater harmony of existence.

Let us now reflect upon its profound meaning.

Allow it to guide you towards a deeper understanding of your true nature and potential.

I ask that you find a comfortable seat.

Allow your body to settle into your space.

Gently close your eyes.

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Do not change your breath.

Only note the texture and temperature of this sacred flow of life cycling through your vessel.

With each breath you relax more deeply into your space.

I will now guide you to silently repeat the mantra Aham Brahmasmi.

Stay calm if your attention drifts from the mantra.

When you become aware that you have lost the mantra,

Gently allow your awareness to shift back to reciting again.

I will get you started.

Aham Brahmasmi.

Aham Brahmasmi.

Now gently allow the mantra to fall away and rest here in the stillness of pure awareness.

Now gently bring your awareness back to your breath.

You may begin to lengthen and deepen the breath,

Feeling the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen.

Allow small movements to come to your fingers and toes,

Sensing the vital energies stirring there.

As you go about your day,

Embrace the divine within you and let it shine forth,

Illuminating your path and the world.

Aham Brahmasmi.

You are the universe experiencing itself.

I am so grateful to have met you on the path.

Namaste.
