This is a quick and gentle practice to help you visualize and strengthen your boundaries.
This will help you to move through your day in a more centered way,
Sure in yourself and standing firm and grounded while being able to offer loving support to those around you.
Take a deep breath in and on the release I'd like you to gently close your eyes.
Instead of trying to hold them shut tightly,
Just let them rest closed.
Get comfortable where you are,
Sitting up or laying down and get settled in.
On the breath in I'd like you to imagine yourself breathing in new energy.
It flows and courses through your body going where it is needed,
Healing,
Comforting,
Moving freely.
The breath out releases tension,
Upset and worry.
Any stress that you may have encountered today or anything that you were worried about in the future melts away.
On the breath in energy flows through you all the way down to your feet and out into the earth,
Steadying you,
Grounding you,
Rooting you.
You are solid and strong and connected to the earth.
Breathing out tension,
Breathing in new,
Fresh and supportive energy.
The earth's energy flows up through your feet now,
Your ankles,
Knees,
Thighs,
Sacrum.
You are feeling steadfast within yourself,
Grounded,
Cared for and supported.
The earth's energy moves into your stomach,
Into your chest,
Filling your heart,
Soothing your throat,
Making the words you say to yourself and to others more compassionate and understanding.
You can feel the earth's energy radiating through you,
Your mouth and nose and eyes.
It streams from you and out through the top of your head.
It is wondrous and it falls around you like a bubble.
Take a moment to visualize this bubble all around you.
Inside this bubble there is room for you,
For compassion,
Love,
Respect,
Understanding,
Support and empathy.
It is made of white light and the light is your boundary,
Both with yourself and others.
As you walk into the world you will find people who in a deep need for healing will push past your own need for peace.
There are those who will see how they can challenge you in your compassion and empathy.
There are those who will speak to you without love,
Without understanding,
Who will not because of their own situation and the struggle within them respect the boundaries of your support.
And in these moments imagine the white light between you and them.
It does not block either of you from each other.
But just like turning on a lamp in a dark room,
You will see the situation and the boundary that protects you much more clearly.
You will see its borders,
Its hills and its valleys much more visible and easier to traverse.
The light does not keep other people out,
Rather it illuminates them.
You can ask for healing,
For understanding and for love for them.
From your gentle distance within your own peace.
It is a beautiful,
Calm and steady boundary.
It doesn't have to be angry or upset or harsh,
Just constant.
Set an intention now for this boundary.
Give it size and shape and dimension.
Give it life and meaning with your breath.
Bathe it in light and place it peacefully in the world.
Deep breath in.
Deep breath out.
This light can stay with you as long as you need,
As your bubble,
As your boundary,
To slowly dissipate as needed,
To be strengthened as you need,
Solely as you design.
You walk through the day,
The week,
The month and year,
Knowing that you can offer support and understanding to those around you without compromising your own peace.
And although you might be challenged in your borders and boundaries,
The light you place around yourself will offer strength and you will stand strong,
Centered and grounded in yourself.
You'll see these challenges to your boundaries as what they are.
A deep need for healing while being able to nourish yourself and keep yourself rooted.
Take a last moment here to fully appreciate this bubble of light surrounding you,
Supporting you in your boundaries today as you move forward.
