Good morning my beautiful friend.
Today we'll move through a breathwork practice designed to awaken your energy and help you greet the day with clarity,
Strength,
And an open heart.
Through conscious breathing,
We'll awaken the body,
Steady the mind,
And align with your intention so you can meet this new day feeling balanced and alive.
It's best to do this practice seated either on the floor with a cushion or in a chair with your feet on the ground.
So take a moment to settle in.
Feel your sit bones rooted into the ground beneath you.
Lengthen gently through the spine as if lifting toward the sky.
Now bring your shoulders up towards your ears then roll them back and down opening your heart space.
Now softly close your eyes and turn your awareness inward and if you ever need a moment of guidance you can always open your eyes and I'll be right here with you.
Shift your focus from your thoughts to the sensations in your body.
Simply notice what's here without trying to fix or change anything.
Let yourself be exactly as you are with kindness and curiosity.
Now let's begin with three grounding breaths.
We'll take a deep breath in through the nose,
Pausing at the top for a moment.
Now letting it all go with an audible exhale through the mouth.
Nice.
Again,
Deep breath in through the nose.
Pause and hold.
Sigh it out through the mouth.
Ah great.
One more deep breath in through the nose.
Pause gently at the top.
Now release everything out through the mouth.
Now let's begin.
We'll start with deep breaths in through the mouth and out through the mouth.
Two counts each.
So in,
Out,
In,
Out.
That's it.
Keep it going.
Send your breath deep into the belly,
Letting it expand through your whole body and release it out like you're letting go of a weight.
Let your resistance at first.
Just keep breathing.
One breath.
If emotions begin to rise up,
Resist the urge to push them down.
See if you can stay with them.
Let them move.
Allow yourself to cry,
Shout,
Shake.
Your body knows what it needs to release.
Trust be moving.
Stay calm.
Keep breathing about a minute.
If you need to let go before and take a quick breath in,
That's completely fine.
Notice any tension you're carrying in the body and soften your grip just a little more.
Let yourself sink into the stillness.
Letting it go in three,
Two,
One.
Ah.
This next round we'll do a two-part breath.
Inhaling through the mouth down to the belly,
Pulling more air into the chest and then out.
So it'll be like this.
Belly,
Chest,
Breath.
No judgment,
No effort.
Just a gentle pivot back to this moment.
Take a quick breath in and go back into it.
What does it feel like to surrender completely into the stillness?
Let the quiet hold you.
Take a recovery breath in three,
Two,
One.
Let it all go.
Ah.
Nice.
Now let's go back in for our third and final round.
This time we'll do nasal breathing.
Deep inhales through the nose and then exhaling through the nose as well.
So it'll be like this.
In.
Little more to meet the day ahead.
As I'm cuing,
Take a quick catch breath and then go back into the hold.
All together,
Big breath in.
Expanding softly as you let go of what's no longer needed.
Taking long,
Gentle inhales and exhales through the nose.
Stay seated,
Letting your body absorb the energy you've created.
Feeling it circulate through your cells,
Anchoring into your heart and mind.
And let this stillness settle inside you.
A steady foundation for your day.
Now,
Take a moment to set an intention for your day ahead.
Tune into your highest self and choose how you want to show up both for yourself and for others.
We can't always control what happens around us,
But we can choose the energy we bring to it.
Let's choose compassion,
Presence,
And love.
And remember to offer those same qualities to ourselves.
When stress or worry arises,
When you're feeling off center,
Come back to your breath.
It's always here waiting to guide you home.
Thank you for breathing with me and I'm wishing you a beautiful day.
