A Practice For Fawn Patterns. This practice is for the tendency to adjust, respond, or be “a certain way” with others - even when nothing has been asked of you. That pull to scan, perform, or get it right can be quick and automatic. It’s a form of protective intelligence that once served a purpose. There’s no need to judge it. We’re simply noticing it and gently allow its urgency to soften. For a few moments, you’re invited to consider that maybe nothing is being asked of you right now. Let your attention rest a little closer to your own experience, at whatever distance feels safe. There’s no need to push or block anything. Simply noticing - in your own way. If your system keeps reaching outward or trying to adjust, that’s okay, too. It can be included, just as it is. This isn’t about withdrawing or getting it right. It’s simply a small pause to be with yourself, even a little - where nothing needs to be added or taken away.
