Welcome to this meditation to help improve your digestion.
Your parasympathetic nervous system,
Or the part of your central nervous system that helps calm you down,
Is a key part in our rest and digest mechanism.
So the calmer we are when we eat,
The more likely we are to digest our food well.
So we'll take a few minutes to center ourselves before we eat.
Take a nice deep breath in through the nose,
And exhale through the mouth.
Again full breath in,
And full breath out.
One more time,
Let's inhale,
And let it go.
We'll stay with our breath,
This time counting backward from 10 down to 1.
So take a nice deep inhale,
And exhale for 10.
Again full inhale,
And exhale for 9.
Full breath in,
And exhale for 8.
Full breath in,
And exhale for 7.
Full breath in,
And exhale for 6.
Full breath in,
And exhale for 5.
Breathing in,
And exhale for 4.
Breathing in,
And exhale for 3.
Inhaling,
And exhaling for 2.
Inhaling,
And exhaling for 1.
Enjoy your meal,
And digest it well.
