Take a moment to find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down,
And close your eyes.
Begin by taking a deep breath in and slowly exhale,
Letting go of any tension or distractions from the day.
With every breath,
Allow yourself to sink deeper into relaxation.
Now imagine you are standing at the edge of a lush,
Green forest.
The air is crisp and fresh,
Carrying the earthy scent of pine and the sweetness of wildflowers.
Feel the ground beneath you,
Soft and inviting,
As you take your first step onto the forest path.
You can hear the gentle crunch of leaves and twigs under your foot,
As if the forest itself is greeting you.
Step by step,
You move deeper into this peaceful sanctuary.
The towering trees around you stretch high into the sky,
Their branches swaying gently in the breeze.
The leaves rustle above you,
Creating a soothing melody that calms your mind.
Every sound,
Every movement in the forest feels perfectly in place,
Like the whole world is moving in harmony.
As you walk,
Feel the warm sunlight filtering through the canopy above.
It shines in golden beams,
Creating patterns on the forest floor,
Guiding your way.
You breathe deeply,
And the air feels pure and nourishing as it fills your lungs.
With each breath,
You become more connected to the energy of this sacred space.
Continue walking slowly,
Noticing the textures around you,
The soft moss under your feet,
The rough bark of the trees,
The delicate petals of flowers that grow at the edge of your path.
You pause for a moment to touch the trunk of a nearby tree,
Feel its strength and grounded energy and allow it to remind you of your own inner stability.
Now you hear the gentle sound of water flowing nearby,
The sound draws you in,
And you follow it until you come across a crystal clear stream.
The water moves with grace,
Flowing over smooth rocks,
Creating ripples that shimmer in the sunlight.
Kneel down beside the stream,
And let your fingers dip into the cool,
Refreshing water.
As you touch the water,
Feel its clarity and purity.
With each ripple,
Imagine any tension or worries you've been holding onto,
Being carried away by the current.
Feel the water cleans your mind,
Your body and your spirit,
Leaving you lighter and more at ease.
Take a few moments to sit beside the stream.
Find a soft patch of grass or a smooth,
Moss-covered rock to rest on.
Let your body settle deeply into this peaceful space,
Allowing the forest's energy to flow through you.
Close your eyes for a moment and listen,
Listen to the birds singing above you,
The stream flowing beside you and the wind gently moving through the trees.
All of nature is here,
In perfect harmony,
And you are part of it.
Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin as it bathes you in gentle light.
You are safe,
You are supported and you are deeply connected to the Earth.
Take a few deep breaths here,
Breathing in the beauty of this moment,
Feeling yourself becoming more centred,
More at peace.
With each inhale and each exhale.
Now take a moment to reflect on what you feel grateful for.
It could be something small or something big or simply the gift of this moment in nature.
Allow yourself to feel a deep sense of gratitude for the healing energy that surrounds you in this forest.
Trust that this peace,
This tranquility is always available to you.
Even when you are not physically in nature.
When you are ready to return,
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale imagine yourself slowly leaving the forest,
Knowing that you can return here at any time you wish.
Allow the peaceful energy of the forest to stay with you as you carry it into the rest of your day.
Take one more deep,
Grounding breath in and when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Bringing this sense of calm and connection back with you.
