Hello and welcome.

I invite you to find a comfortable position,

Either sitting up or lying down.

Bring your focus to your breath and simply breathe in an easy,

Natural and relaxing rhythm.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Observing the rhythm of your breath like the ocean waves.

The waves come in and the waves go out,

In and out.

Enjoy a few moments to be present right here with the rise and fall of your breath.

As you relax deeper,

Begin to release any old energy that no longer serves you,

No longer supports you,

And no longer empowers you.

Letting it all fall down to the ground like leaves falling from a tree.

As you release and disconnect from this old energy,

Take a deep and cleansing breath in and a slow and steady breath out.

Again,

Deep and cleansing,

Slow and steady.

Know that this old energy is being received with love and compassion by Mother Earth for grounding,

Purification,

And renewal.

Letting go of the old makes way for the new.

And it's time to welcome in the new.

Begin to welcome in the light of Reiki,

Simply intending that Reiki be present in the space surrounding you.

Welcoming the light of Reiki in front of you and behind you.

Welcoming the light of Reiki to the left of you and to the right of you.

Welcoming the light of Reiki above you,

Below you,

And centered within you.

Observing the light of Reiki both present within you and purifying the space surrounding you with love,

Light,

And healing for your highest good.

Surrounded by the light of Reiki,

Begin to imagine a grounding cord,

A system of strong,

Flexible roots reaching down from your body and deep into the soil.

Visualize your strong,

Flexible roots traveling through all the layers of mud,

Rock,

And minerals,

Passing through the history of Earth's consciousness,

And at last connecting you to the abundant source of healing white light at the center of the Earth.

The essence of this light is love,

And deep within this love is an extra special gift for you,

Specifically designed to harmonize with your unique essence.

It's the gift of seven colorful rays of light,

The vibrant healing light of red,

Orange,

Yellow,

Green,

Blue,

Indigo,

And violet light.

Visualize your strong,

Flexible roots drinking in the nutrients of this healing rainbow of light from the center of the Earth.

Visualize these seven colorful rays of light traveling up through your healthy root system,

In through the bottoms of your feet,

Traveling up your legs,

And harmonizing with every cell in your body,

All the way to the top of your head,

And from the top of your head.

Feel these seven colorful rays of light flowing back down to the bottoms of your feet.

Take a moment to sense the frequency of this energy,

Observing and trusting any experiences that come into your awareness.

It's now time to receive the uplifting affirmations contained within these seven colorful rays of light.

Begin to welcome in the healing light of red.

Visualize the light of red flowing throughout your legs and the base of your spine,

Nourishing and balancing your root chakra.

The energy of your root chakra is the foundation upon which you build your life.
