Welcome to the Mind Body Spirit podcast.
I'm your host Kim Shepherd,
Combining science and intuition to support your mind,
Body,
Soul wellness journey.
I'd like you to get into a comfortable position.
As you're doing that,
Our intention for today is to support you in to tuning into your intuition to align with what feels right for your mind,
Your body and your soul.
We can often go throughout our day in autopilot doing whatever it is that we need to do,
Whatever is on our to-do list,
Whatever we need to do for our loved ones,
For our career,
But we don't often always make the time to slow down.
But when we make this time to slow down,
We can make those decisions that are more in alignment with our mind,
Our body and our soul.
So whether you're choosing to be seated or to lay down comfortably,
I'd like you to either have your arms resting by your side if you're laying down or resting comfortably in your lap with your palms facing up.
And I'd like you to connect into that nice,
Deep,
Slow breath in through the nose and slowly exhaling out your mouth.
Of course,
If this feels unnatural for you,
Breathing in the most comfortable way to support yourself to relax,
To let go of any tension,
Any mental busyness,
Any stress or overwhelm.
And if there's something that you've been feeling like maybe a change is needed,
I'd like you to hold that thought in your mind.
As you connect in with your breath,
I want you to focus on that breath rising and falling through your body.
Each exhale,
Feeling your body relaxing.
Letting go of any tension through your jaw.
Softening your lips.
Closing your eyes.
And bringing the focus of your eyes up to your third eye,
Up between the eyebrows.
This position of the eyes supporting your mind to relax even more.
So focusing in on your intention.
And noticing how you feel when you think of this.
Does it spark joy?
Does it give you this feeling of anxiety or dread?
Do you feel frustrated?
Overwhelmed?
Do you feel joy and gratitude and happiness or bliss?
Noticing how you feel when you connect into this intention.
Is this something that you're wanting to continue to pursue in life?
Is it something that sparks joy in your heart and in your soul?
Or are you doing this for someone else's benefit?
For someone else's expectation?
Are you truly pursuing it because this is what you want to do?
If we take a moment to just consider if there was no pressure from anyone else or anything else in this world.
Is that what you would choose to do with your day?
If that is in alignment with what feels right for you.
Trusting that feeling.
If you're unsure or have that feeling of this does not feel right for me.
Trust in that feeling.
Another question I like to ask myself to check if something is in alignment.
Is I imagine myself being really old.
When my body is too old to do all of the things that I do now.
Will I regret not doing this?
Most people live a life of regret based on fear.
Not based on what truly sparks their soul.
If this is something that you will regret not ever trying to do.
If this is something that you will regret not ever trying to do.
Trusting in that feeling.
But if it's something that you can go without.
Listen to what your body is telling you.
And trusting in that first initial feeling you get.
Your intuition is that initial response.
Quite often you can ask yourself a question and before you've even finished asking that question.
You can hear a yes or a no.
Or if your clairsentience is stronger that feeling you will sense a yes or a no.
That second voice that pops into your head.
Is often your ego.
Which I refer to as your teacher.
Which then challenges you.
How badly do you want to do this?
It comes up with a whole bunch of different excuses to challenge you.
It might say you're not good enough.
You're not smart enough.
You're not worthy.
You don't have enough money.
You don't have enough time.
But that is not the voice that we are to listen to.
Our intuition is that gut instinct that you feel within your belly.
It's that spark within your heart,
Within your soul.
Learning to trust the feelings.
Learning to trust that little voice in your head that is excited.
That wants to try.
That wants to play.
That wants to be spontaneous.
That wants to focus in on joy.
And learning to ignore that teacher.
That ego.
That is challenging you to quit on yourself.
Or perhaps looking at it that it's challenging you to not listen to anyone else's opinions.
To not listen to any other voices but to trust in that feeling.
Whenever you're uncertain about what decision to make.
Come back to this meditation.
To check in with yourself.
To give yourself a few minutes to be present.
To ignore all of that external noise.
And to check in with how you're feeling.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
