Hello,
I am Kimberly Johnson.
I am so deeply honored that you have chosen to pause and sit with me.
So let's just take a moment and we can begin by just letting the body settle.
And maybe that looks like taking some micro movements so that you can be comfortable enough to be still during this time.
And maybe just begin to bring awareness into the body sitting right here,
Right now.
Feeling your skin,
Feeling the space that the body takes up.
Noticing if you feel any sensations in the body.
Notice if the body is warm or cold.
And maybe as you notice the body,
Letting the body relax a little.
Letting go of any tension that you might be holding in the face.
Now you might be holding in the shoulders,
The hands,
The bellies.
And then right here,
Just begin noticing the body breathing.
And if you haven't shut your eyes down yet,
You might want to.
If it doesn't feel safe,
No problem.
Maybe just lowering the gaze and gently maybe half closing the eyes.
And just notice this beautiful dance that the body and the breath have,
How they move together.
Notice that when you inhale,
The body moves up and out.
And as you exhale,
It lowers back down and in.
Notice how the breath has a beginning,
A middle,
And an end.
Both the inhale and the exhale,
The exhale also has a beginning,
A middle,
And an end.
And with your eyes shut,
And with the body settled and the mind beginning to settle,
I want you to focus in on your hearing sense and notice what you can hear.
And then notice your sense of smell.
Notice if you can smell anything.
And notice your sense of taste.
See if you can taste anything.
Now,
Opening to your feeling sense,
And once again,
Feel your body and see if you can feel any sensations occurring in the body.
And maybe note them tingly,
Warm,
Tight.
Now,
Gently open the eyes if they're not already open and notice what you can see.
And really look at the color of the lighting,
The colors of your surroundings,
The textures,
The shapes,
The shadows.
And notice how this moment feels as we re-inhabit our bodies and re-inhabit the moment.
And maybe taking a few more slow breaths in stillness,
Bringing this awareness with you as you move on to whatever comes next.
Knowing that one of the best ways to cultivate presence is to notice your senses,
To notice what you feel,
What you see,
What you hear,
What you smell and what you taste.
For this is your present moment.
And in this moment,
Everything is always okay.
Love you.
You
