Welcome to the element meditation of water.
This meditation can be done seated or lying down.
So I invite you to find a comfortable position,
A place in which you can find yourself feeling very safe and relaxed.
You can choose to either find a soft gaze or close your eyes fully.
Take the time to make sure that you're warm,
That you're comfortable.
Once you've found your position,
Begin to settle into your physical body.
As you feel into your physical body,
Feeling the spaces of your body that are in contact in connection with the earth and allowing these spaces,
These points of connection,
These points of contact to become a bit heavy with ease,
To allow your body to just softly surrender to the earth beneath you.
Feeling in,
Finding a space for relaxation.
As you settle into your physical body,
Starting to draw your awareness,
Your attention to the movement,
To the rhythm of your breath.
So you draw your attention to your breath.
Just begin at first by being the observer.
So at this moment,
No need to manipulate or change your breath.
Finding an awareness,
Becoming the observer.
So noticing the pace of your breath,
Noticing the depth of your breath,
Noticing the spaces in your body that the breath reaches,
Where the breath fills,
Where the breath touches.
And then also notice if there are any spaces in your body that the breath doesn't quite reach or it doesn't quite touch.
Noticing where you're beginning,
Noticing the sensations.
Now start to draw the awareness to the subtle space at the tip of your nose where the air just begins to meet the nose,
Where the breath just begins to meet the nose.
Feeling the breath,
Feeling the air as it just touches the tip of your nose.
And then start to draw your breath in.
And as you draw your breath in,
Notice the space where the breath just touches the back of the nose.
And as you draw your breath in through your nostrils,
Notice if the breath flows more easily on one side or the other.
So as you draw your breath in through the nostrils,
The breath touching the back of the nose,
And then allowing the breath to rise now to wash over the third eye,
The space between the eyebrows.
So continuing to follow your breath as you draw your breath in through the nostrils,
Allowing your breath to wash over the third eye.
Following your breath on its path,
Drawing your breath in through the nostrils,
Allowing the breath to wash over the third eye.
Now allow your breath to begin to descend as it starts to make its way down the back of your throat.
You continue to follow your breath on its path as you draw your breath in through the nostrils.
Allow it to wash over the third eye,
Descend down the back of the throat,
And coming to the heart center,
The physical center of your chest.
Now continuing to follow your breath on its path as you draw your breath in through the nostrils,
Allow it to wash over the third eye,
Descend down the back of the throat,
Now passing through the heart center to arrive low in the belly,
The space just below the navel,
Breathing,
Allowing the breath to fill the low belly with your breath.
As you fill and expand your low belly with your breath,
Filling the swadhisthana chakra,
The second chakra,
The chakra that represents the element of water,
Breathing into the low belly,
Allowing the low belly to rise and fall with your breath,
The lotus of the sacral chakra into the low belly,
Breathing up,
Breathing down,
Expanding into the movement,
Feeling the element of water coming into you,
Breathing in,
Feeling the water.
Water is a sea or lake,
Water is refreshing,
Cleansing,
Like waterfalls or rain,
Water is the river,
Always flowing,
Forever changing,
Water is nourishment,
Being held in the womb,
Open and embody to the water as it comes to you,
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Water is flowing,
Water is movement,
Water is change,
Water is nourishment,
Water is cleansing,
Water is letting go.
Beautiful.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Fill your body with the essence of water,
Embodying the qualities you need,
Carrying the element with you,
Taking the deep dive into the depths of your inner self,
Taking a deep breath in and exhaling fully.
Thank you so much for taking the time to practice with me.
