Ooh,

Breakfast looks great!

While that's cooking,

Would you like to do a quick breathing exercise with me?

I want you to place your feet firmly on the floor beneath you,

And you'll start to draw your awareness into the base of your spine at your tailbone.

As you breathe in,

You'll imagine that you're drawing up through the crown of your head through an invisible string.

We're going to take a couple of breaths here,

Breathing in,

Thinking that you're growing just a little bit taller.

And as you breathe out,

You're relaxing the shoulders down away from the ears.

We're going to take two more like that,

Breathing in,

Thinking length through the two sides of your waist.

Breathing out,

Relax the jaw.

Last one,

Breathing in,

Press into the feet to grow a little bit taller.

Breathing out,

Settle the shoulders down.

Great work!

Now go enjoy your breakfast.

I'll see you here tomorrow for your next one minute of mindfulness.
