Ah,
Walking to the train while reading your phone.
I know you're in a hurry,
But maybe you can try this while you're walking.
You're gonna keep your eyes open for this exercise and take a couple of deep,
Slow breaths.
And what I want you to feel as you're taking these breaths is the feeling of your foot as it hits the ground.
So each time your foot makes contact,
You become aware of the sensation across the sole of your foot.
You'll feel your legs moving through space.
You'll let yourself settle into this present moment.
You're gonna do that for a couple more rounds here,
Feeling the legs and the feet.
Take another deep breath in.
Nice work.
Next time you feel yourself racing around,
You can start to slow down by coming into that breath and the feeling of your body.
