Hello,
Thanks for joining me today.
I want to recognize that for many it feels like the weight of the world is quite heavy.
At least that's how it feels for me lately.
We see a lot of injustice and unfair,
Painful suffering in the world.
And sometimes it can feel unbearable to feel so much anger and rage but not know how to channel that into something good,
Some positive action we can take.
So this meditation today is about transmuting that rage which is sacred into something powerful and peaceful at the same time.
Something that you can use with good intention.
So close your eyes or soften your gaze,
Whatever feels best for you.
And for the purpose of this meditation I'm going to ask you to think of something,
An injustice or a difficult situation you've been in recently that has enraged you.
Be careful with yourself,
Don't choose anything that's too triggering,
Just a mid-range rage if you will,
To start to notice what that rage feels like in your body.
And imagine this rage has a shape,
A viscosity,
A texture,
A temperature,
A color,
Maybe even a smell.
And you can see this kind of floating out right in front of you.
Notice what it brings up for you.
And as you imagine this kind of shape and this thing that symbolizes your rage in front of you,
I want you to imagine placing your hands out,
Taking hold of it.
And it starts to shift into something better.
Maybe the color shifts.
Embrace it with your energy and your love.
Call in peace and calm.
Call in respect and integrity.
And mold it into something new.
Suddenly it becomes a new shape and a new color and a new temperature and a new smell.
Something more manageable.
Something perhaps more inspiring.
Now imagine pulling that into your heart center and holding it close.
Embracing it,
Taking it in,
And letting it empower you to transmute any rageful moment into something that is in the best interest of all of us.
Good in the world.
Even a small gesture,
A small moment of resistance or speaking up for yourself or someone else can have such a huge impact.
May you harness the power of your sacred rage and use it for good.
Take one final deep breath here.
Letting out with a big sigh.
Notice the sensations in your body,
Any sounds nearby.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
