Begin by sitting in a comfortable seat,
Sitting in a cross-legged position or sitting comfortably on a chair with your feet grounded and planted firmly into the earth beneath you,
Pressing into your sit bones,
Allowing the spine to lengthen and beginning to take some deeper inhales through your nose,
Bringing your hands on top of your thighs or knees,
Palms face up if you need some energy from the universe,
Palms face down if you feel like you need some grounding energy.
Let's begin by noticing our thoughts,
Different clouds that are floating by in our mind sky,
Label them whatever they are,
Work,
School,
Home,
Family,
Friendship,
Whatever it is,
Label them and allow them just to float by,
Not attaching to any of the thoughts,
Just observing.
Again to take longer inhales through your nose and even longer exhales through the nose.
Feel the belly expanding on the inhales and notice how it gently pulls in and up on the exhales,
Finding a comfortable even breath,
Softening your shoulders with each exhale and taking a moment to be present and mindful and finding your santosha,
Your peace,
Contentment,
Being happy just in this moment,
Not thinking about anything else that you have to do or have to go,
Being content in this moment,
Sitting,
Breathing and being still.
There's so much to say about being still.
We notice more when we are still.
We can begin to enjoy more when we slow down and we are still.
Taking a few more cycles of slow even inhales and exhales.
Just taking a few more breaths to be present,
Joyous,
Happy,
Content,
Knowing you are enough and you have enough and the inner peace you're looking for is within you already.
So instead of looking outside of yourself for happiness and peace,
Coming back to the stillness and finding it within you,
Begin to deepen your inhales,
Wiggle your fingers,
Begin to blink open your eyes,
Coming back to your space and bringing your hands to heart center and prayer hands.
Thank you for taking this mindful moment to be present and to find your inner peace.
The light in me salutes and honors the light in you.
Namaste.
