Sit comfortably,
Either cross-legged or allow your feet to be flat on the ground.
Resting your hands on your knees,
Palms facing up,
Or in your lap with one hand gently on top of the other.
Spine is erect,
Gently close your eyes.
We'll begin by taking three deep inhalations in and slowly exhaling.
Take a deep inhalation in,
Allowing the belly to fully expand.
Slowly exhale through the mouth.
Take another deep inhalation in.
Slowly exhaling through the mouth.
One last deep inhalation in.
And again,
Slowly exhaling through the mouth.
Just bring your awareness to this present moment.
I'd like you to imagine a large,
Beautiful tree.
One of the most beautiful trees that you could possibly imagine.
This tree has a lot of branches,
Hundreds of branches.
And on each branch there's hundreds of leaves.
Beautiful leaves.
As you're observing the tree,
There's one leaf that just stands out to you.
This leaf seems extremely peaceful as it sways in the wind.
Imagine yourself as being this leaf,
As this leaf is,
At peace.
So you're this leaf on the tree of life,
Surrounded by other leaves,
Which represent your loved ones.
All the people in your life.
All the leaves are gently dancing and moving with the breeze.
They always stay together.
During the summer,
When it's hot,
In the cold,
In the windy.
And you feel very safe.
One day,
You notice your color begins to change.
You feel very different.
Very gently and naturally,
You fall off the tree.
Gently and gracefully heading towards the earth,
The ground.
And as the leaf falls,
You see the sky and then the ground,
The sky and the ground as you float down.
Very gently you land on the earth.
And from this position,
You can see the tree from a new perspective.
You feel complete,
Grateful.
Very gently over time,
You dissolve into the earth.
You become one with the earth.
Suddenly you find that you're not just a leaf,
But the entire earth.
And this tree of life reabsorbs you.
And now your identity is that of the tree of life.
The leaves and the branches fall and grow and you're totally at peace with it.
One day,
Even this tree of life falls down and is reabsorbed back into the earth.
Now this time,
You find yourself as the entire forest.
And as the forest trees fall down,
Again you get reabsorbed and you find that you are now the planet.
And now you find you are one with the galaxy.
Now one with the universe.
And now one with whatever is beyond the universe.
Now drop this and just allow yourself to let go and be yourself.
Allow yourself to just be pure consciousness.
Now that you are pure consciousness,
Wonder what that is like?

Slowly bringing awareness back to the breath.
Take a slow deep inhalation in,
Again allowing the belly to fully expand.
Slowly exhale through the mouth.
Take another slow deep inhalation in.
Again exhaling slowly through the mouth.
One last deep inhalation in.
Again slowly exhaling through the mouth.
And to begin to slowly open your eyes.
And carry on with the rest of your day.
