We can simulate feelings of connection, even when we are alone. We might be separated from loved ones, craving a safe connection from another physical person. You can create this feeling for yourself, through your imagination. Venture into the virtual hug from your own heart center and feel the safety and trust. It's amazing!

Welcome to our intermission's Wednesday meditation.

Today I was inspired to share a visualization exercise,

Really a connection exercise.

Sometimes we are craving a big warm hug and our loved ones are away or we just don't have access to someone in that moment that really we feel entirely safe and entirely connected with.

Where we can enjoy that platonic exchange of warmth and trust.

So I like to simulate these feelings for myself when I feel a need or that missing from my day.

And it's very simple.

So let's get started.

When you're ready close your eyes and come into the breath.

Really come into the room.

Come into the space that you're inhabiting right now.

Taking a moment for presence and calm.

Establishing your focus in this time we have together on connection.

Connection with a source energy field within yourself inspired by a visualization.

So bring into your mind another person.

Someone that brings you a warm feeling,

A safe feeling.

You can know them in real life or they could be a character that you've seen or that you've read about.

Just bringing into your imagination for a moment here.

A presence that you create for yourself.

So take a moment to work through this so that you can settle into your space and into your presence with this visual of another human being.

So letting go of your belly and opening the heart center.

So in this space with this person just visualize the look on their face.

Visualize a smile in their eyes and on their mouth.

A kindness that's clear and trustworthy.

Sensing a shared connection.

Moving slowly.

Approaching this person arms open.

Observing their comfort and a mutual trust and respect for each other.

Easy and light and kind.

Moving closer.

Feeling a sense of warmth as your heart centers collide.

The expansion of full breath in.

Feeling the senses awakening in joy and love for another human connection.

Safety and trust surround you both.

Feeling the flow of love and connection between your heart centers.

Feeling the breath.

An equal exchange of softness and support for you physically,

Emotionally through this heart centered connection.

Beginning to recognize the receding connection slowly and with peace and balance as you move quietly away from each other.

Releasing the arms.

Feeling the heart connection dimming gently and slowly but not completely.

Maintaining the light that you've shared together as you separate.

Giving closure to this moment with each other.

But keeping that light within your heart center.

Recognizing that this is your light.

It was not either created or lost by this other person.

You had this light and you will have this light within yourself.

Sharing yourself is entirely your choice.

When you feel the respect and the love of another.

Coming back to your heart center.

Coming back to your body when you're ready.

Acknowledging your freedom to find this connection when and where you like.

First acknowledging the trust and the safety and the possible joy.

Stay with this feeling that you've created within yourself.

Coming back as often as you like.

You have everything you need within yourself right now.

Namaste.

Completely excellent. Your audible breathing helps remind me to breathe deeply too, and the reminder that the light is in me was wonderful too. Thank you for the hug!
