Lay yourself down,

And feel the comfort of your bed.

Feel the warmth of your blankets,

And the softness of the air around you.

Breathe slowly and fully,

And every time you breathe out,

Feel your body sinking deeper into your bed.

Allow your forehead to loosen,

Your jaw to soften,

And your shoulders to lower and relax.

Let your arms feel heavy now,

Your belly uncoil and soften,

And your hips and legs melt into stillness.

Your whole body is unwinding and softening into the night,

A gentle glow appears before you,

A lantern,

Golden and warm,

Floating just a few steps ahead.

It flickers softly,

Inviting you to follow.

With curiosity and ease,

You step forward,

And with every step you take,

Another lantern appears ahead,

As if lighting your way through the night.

The lanterns guide you onto a narrow path,

Curving gently through the quiet.

Each one casts a circle of light that feels safe and peaceful and calm.

The air around you is cool and fresh.

You feel the softness of earth beneath your feet,

And you hear the whisper of wind moving gently through the trees.

The lanterns sway slightly in the breeze,

Like they're alive and smiling at you,

Guiding you to sleep.

With each step,

You feel lighter,

And the heaviness of the day completely falls away.

Any thoughts that you carried are released into the dark.

Any worries that you held drift away into the trees.

Your entire mind softens and quiets.

Soon,

The path curves into a meadow,

And here the lanterns scatter,

Floating all around you,

Some low,

Some high,

Each one glowing like a star that has come close to rest in the grass.

The meadow is quiet,

Bathed in golden light,

And the lanterns form a circle around you,

A sanctuary of calm.

You step into the center,

And sit within the glow,

And the light wraps around you,

Soft and soothing.

One lantern drifts closer,

And it hovers just above your hands,

Inviting you to hold it.

Its glow warms your palms,

And radiates through your chest.

You breathe deeply and allow the light to pour into you.

The lantern shows you peace.

It shows you love.

It shows you that even in the darkness,

Light is always here,

Guiding you,

Holding you,

Carrying you towards rest.

The lantern now floats upward,

Joining the others once more.

The meadow fills with shimmering light,

And you feel yourself growing heavier,

Sleepier,

Calmer with every breath.

The lanterns rise slowly into the night,

One by one,

Until they become stars again,

Twinkling above you,

Forever guiding you,

Forever reminding you that peace is here.
