Breathe in the calming, peaceful air of the night. Let it wrap in and around you. Now, let your mind surrender. Let go of all distracting thoughts. Let them float away like clouds. Stay with the peace and relaxation in your body. Just allow yourself to melt into your bed. Now, imagine, if you can, walking in the cool, crispness of the night. The air is clear, and your path is lit by a full moon and thousands of glistening stars.

Breathe in the calming,

Peaceful air of the night.

Let it wrap in and around you,

And let your mind surrender.

Let go of all distracting thoughts,

And let them float away like clouds.

Stay with the peace and relaxation in your body.

Just allow yourself to melt into your bed.

Imagine that you're walking in the cool,

Crispness of the night.

The air is clear,

And your path is lit by a full moon and thousands of glistening stars.

As you walk,

There's something comforting about the night.

Something peaceful and protective,

Like a child's favorite blanket.

And you embrace those feelings.

In the sky,

The moon is in its magnificent glow.

It's a steady light,

Silvery blue,

With the shadow of a cloud passing by every now and then.

The stars wrap around the velvety night sky,

Like twinkling lights around a tree.

Each tiny twinkle brings a greater sense of peace.

The night is loud in its silence,

In a comforting,

Protective way.

A way that lets you know that you are safe in the silence.

As you walk,

You notice the quiet shadows cast by the moon.

Shadows of trees.

Shadows of bushes.

Shadows of you.

And you acknowledge these shadows with gratitude.

As you inhale the air of the night,

Feeling the coolness tickle your lungs and smiling at the scent of earth and foliage that ascend into your awareness,

There are no boundaries between you and the night.

All parts of you are part of the night.

A tiny breeze breaks the silence,

A breeze filled with whispers and secrets of the night.

The breeze teases you with what has happened.

What is happening.

And what will happen.

All this knowledge is woven into the fabric of the night.

And all this knowledge is woven into you.

After a moment,

Some rustling in the bushes breaks the silence.

Out darts a fox,

Foraging for food.

The fox pauses and looks at you,

With the moonlight reflecting in his dark eyes.

And then he scurries along,

Knowing he is safe,

Knowing that you are a part of the night.

As you walk,

Water ripples softly in the distance.

You walk toward it,

Stopping at a tiny brook,

Bubbling her truth for anyone or anything that will listen.

You wait by the brook,

Fascinated by the shimmering of light in the water.

The moon and stars dance for you in the water.

You continue walking with the cloak of the night gently draped around you,

With the peace of the night securely in you,

And the mysteries of the night moving you to know more.

You and the night are one,

Moving together in grace,

Moving together in silence,

Moving together in peace.
