Take a deep breath.
See if you can slow down the rhythm of your breathing just a little bit.
Now take a deep breath in,
Filling up your lungs and your chest,
And then breathe it out,
Exhaling the air all the way out to the very end.
One more deep breath in,
Letting the cool air fill your entire body,
Gathering any remnants of thoughts or emotions that may be lingering from the day,
And then breathe it all out,
Releasing all of it into the night around you.
Bring your breath to a gentle,
Natural rhythm,
And just be here,
Following its circular motion in and out,
In and out,
Letting it calm you and sink your body into your bed.
I am grounded and supported in this moment.
I welcome peace into my body and my mind.
I choose to let go of the day.
Sleep comes easily to me.
Every muscle in my body is softening.
Allowing deep rest,
My mind is quiet.
I am worthy of deep,
Restful sleep.
I trust my body to know how to rest.
Each breath guides me closer to sleep.
I release any stress still lingering in me.
I surrender my thoughts to the night.
It is safe to let go.
I am calm.
I am steady.
I am at peace.
There is nothing I need to do right now.
There is nothing I need to figure out.
Everything can wait until tomorrow.
My muscles are soft and relaxed.
My breath is slow.
I am slow and steady.
My whole body is at ease.
With every breath,
I drift deeper and deeper into sleep.
I am wrapped in calmness.
I welcome sweet,
Peaceful dreams.
My heart is light.
My thoughts are slowing like clouds drifting across the night sky.
Sleep is welcoming me now.
I let myself glide into sleep with ease.
My body is weightless.
My breath is steady.
Sleep is here.
Rest is here.
