Settle yourself in,

And allow your eyes to close.

Here you are now,

Ready to rest.

Ready to lay it all down,

Even if your heart may feel heavy.

Perhaps you're carrying some grief,

Or maybe a little bit of loneliness,

Or possibly even some exhaustion from a season that has asked too much of you.

Or maybe you've even been hard on yourself for not feeling better yet.

But tonight,

There's only one thing asked of you.

To rest.

So let yourself settle deeper into your bed,

And feel the comfort of the sheets around you.

Feel the support beneath you.

Feel the safety of this moment,

And allow yourself to be held.

Take in a slow and steady breath,

And then sigh it all out.

Another deep breath in,

And then release.

Letting your body soften even more.

Fall into your body's natural rhythm of breathing.

Letting it cradle you in and out,

In and out.

If your mind is still circling,

If your heart is still aching,

It's okay.

Just let them be.

You are allowed to simply feel.

You are allowed to simply be.

In this moment,

Even the heaviest feelings can soften just a little when they are held in love.

So breathe gently,

And notice your body melting.

Soften your face.

Slow your breathing.

Lower your shoulders.

And let your chest open and relax.

Your chest expands with each breath,

Releasing the weight it's held.

Your back unwinds and unravels.

Your hips open and soften.

And your legs and your feet sink into comfort.

From the crown of your head all the way down to the tip of your toes.

You are surrendering.

You are softening.

You are relaxing.

You are beautifully human.

And every breath you take is proof that you are still here.

Still worthy.

Still whole.

It's okay if tonight feels heavy.

It's okay if tonight feels lonely.

It's okay if tonight feels tender.

You are loved here.

You are enough here.

Let the night hold your sorrow.

Let the darkness cradle your worry.

Let the quiet absorb your tiredness.

And with every breath,

Notice a little more light entering.

A little more ease.

A little more peace.

Like soft waves lapping against the shore.

Peace comes gently.

Tenderly.

And patiently.

You may feel a heaviness in your chest.

You may feel the ache of tears behind your eyes.

Let them be here.

For they too are a part of healing.

And healing happens quietly.

In the pauses.

In the soft surrender of nights like this.

So breathe.

And let the air remind you of life.

Let the exhale remind you of release.

Tonight belongs to rest.

Even in your loneliest nights.

There is love surrounding you.

Even in your darkest moments.

There is light within you.

Sleep is here.

Ready to heal you.

Ready to cradle you.

Ready to whisper to you that peace is possible.
