Hi friends,
My name is Kathryn and I'm going to lead you in a meditation today on letting go and surrendered action.
So take a couple moments to make yourself a little more comfortable and begin settling into your body.
Start by just noticing what energies are present here.
Starting to take the role as the observer,
As the watcher,
And the witness.
What's going on in your body?
Is there any stress or tension or tightness?
Begin to notice is your breathing shallow or fast?
Or is it smooth and deep?
Just take this inventory as I open us up with a short prayer.
Mother God,
Father God,
I take these few moments to step into the now.
To step into light and love,
To remember who I truly am and whose I truly am.
I'm so grateful to have this awareness,
To have this knowingness that there is so much more besides me,
Besides my limited viewpoints,
My shortcomings,
My thoughts,
My opinions.
There's so much more.
And I'm not a slave to my mind and to my thoughts.
I have a choice to raise my vibration,
To raise my energy and step into my authentic power.
Spirit,
I pray that you would help me remember this.
At all times,
When I'm stressed,
When I'm anxious,
Help me to remember that I have a choice in how I respond.
I have a choice in what thoughts I allow to persist and to grow.
I have a choice as to where I point my energy and my focus because I know that where attention goes,
Energy flows.
I know this to be true and so it is.
Amen.
Begin to come more aware of your breath,
Relaxing your shoulders and your chest and using your abdomen to breathe,
Pushing out your belly with each inhalation,
Knowing that by breathing deeply like this,
We're stimulating the vagus nerve,
Which is the queen of the parasympathetic nervous system.
We really do have control of our bodies,
How we breathe,
How we allow stress and anxiety to flow through us or to stay within us and that power and that control lies in the breath.
Begin breathing in for a count of three and breathing out for a count of four and do this for a few moments on your own.
And keep what weints yourself into memory because,
As time goes by it we areanh You You Noticing as your heart rate begins to slow down Your body begins to soften on whatever surface you're sitting or laying on And notice how good it feels To just give yourself space To feel and to be And to exist And to exist Watching our breath without judgment Just observing Being present Having an awareness An awareness of your oneness With God,
With spirit,
With life,
With the universe What are you holding on to that you don't need to?
Maybe it's a thought or a lot of thoughts Maybe it's an emotion Maybe it's a false belief about yourself or someone else And you're not just watching your breath You're not just watching your breath You're not just watching your breath You're not just watching your breath When you locate this false belief or emotion or stream of thoughts I want you to ask yourself very honestly Do I want peace or do I want to be right?
Do I want to be right?
Do you want peace or do you want to be right?
Because one is of spirit,
One is of your highest self,
One is of love and of light And the other is of ego,
Of the small self Of that really loud incessant voice in your head Telling you what it thinks is right and wrong Never letting you forget what they did to you or what you said Or how that made you feel,
How it made you feel insecure or anxious How it threatened your sense of self The ego's job is to protect us but it goes about it in all the wrong ways Because we don't need protection What we need is love,
Radical,
Unwavering,
Unchanging love Love in the face of disappointment Love in the face of stress Love in the face of negativity Do you want peace or do you want to be right?
Can you choose love?
Can you choose love?
Can you choose light?
Can you choose abundance and happiness above all else?
Can you choose life and spirit?
Give in to your higher self You feel her calling,
You feel him talking to you Your higher self,
Your true self,
Your soul is here for you And it wants you to be happy It wants you to choose love It wants you to choose who you really are Take a deep breath here And let it out slowly,
Very slowly and evenly Do that a few more times on your own How slow can you make the exhalation?
How calm and peaceful can you become through your breath?
Not through the mind,
Not through the ego,
Not through trying to figure it out And analyze and process every single detail But how peaceful,
How present,
How surrendered and strong can you be right now despite everything that's going on?
Each exhalation,
Making it a little bit easier to let go a little more and a little more Each breath inviting in love Each breath inviting in love Each breath inviting in love Divine,
Pure love and light Visualize your lungs in your mind's eye And with each inhalation and exhalation,
See them expanding See them radiating light And see this light take up your entire chest cavity Your heart space In front of you and behind you,
This light is glowing It's expanding with every breath Expanding to the front and to the sides To the back Expanding up and down This light knows no boundaries,
It knows no limitations Can you stay in this frequency of love?
Can you stay in this high vibration that you've cultivated for yourself?
And realize that there was nothing outside of you that you obtained to create this beautiful space for yourself But it was from going within with presence and love that you allowed this light that was already inside of you to step forward And to grow and to be seen You gave love space to expand and that's all it needs is space,
Permission Nothing is worth your peace Nothing is worth your joy,
Your happiness The ego is loud Make your spirit Make your spirit,
Make your love louder You can do it It's already within you It's already waiting to be heard and waiting to be called on Take a deep breath here friends I love you,
