My name is Kate and I'm going to be guiding you through the next 10 minutes of your meditation practice.
Please begin by finding a comfortable seat.
Seat can mean,
In my world,
Also lying down.
Begin to deepen the breath.
Breathing in and out.
Slowly finding a gentle release.
Feeling whatever it is you are feeling.
Begin to fill up.
All the way up through the lower belly,
The middle chest,
All the way up through the shoulders.
And letting it all go.
Going down through your sit bones,
Feeling perhaps the gentle weight of the earth against your skin.
Seeing that contact we always have with the ground.
Perhaps you find yourself drawing attention to the air.
Soft or light.
We feel our breath as it moves through the body.
Perhaps sending it to parts of ourselves you haven't paid attention to recently.
As we feel this gentle weight of gravity holding us.
You can also feel your spine as it begins to lengthen.
Your spine is resting,
Falling,
And the crown of the head lifting.
Taking us long and tall.
