Hey guys,
My name is Kate and I'm going to be guiding you through the next 15 minutes of your meditation practice.
So please find a comfortable seat,
Anything that you need to be relaxed.
Maybe that's silence.
That's this recording of course.
Maybe it's the right lighting.
Finding the best way for you to be in this moment exactly where you're meant to be.
You can begin today by grounding down through your sit bones and feeling that gentle pull of the crown of your head upwards,
Rising towards the sky.
Again,
I'll remind you that there is absolutely nowhere you need to go other than just being right here,
Right now.
As you feel the breath in your body,
Beginning to connect with that part of yourself and feeling how deeply you can begin to inhale.
Starting down at the base of the spine,
Moving up through the belly button,
The middle chest and the upper chest.
All the way up through the shoulders and finally shining out through the crown of the head as you exhale.
Please exhale completely,
Letting this breath wash through you.
As you sit with your seat heavy and protected and your spine growing longer,
You're going to feel your breath washing through you.
We'll begin today with short visualization.
You're in a field and it's really green.
One of those green,
Green fields that it's like you remember it from your childhood.
This field is beautiful and lush.
You look at one point in the field and you see there's this daffodil puff,
Right?
The late stage of the daffodil has these beautiful white feather-like strands that hold its little seeds.
You see one of these puffs and resisting the urge to pluck it or do anything with it,
You just observe.
And you see that one of its little strands has begun to float away from the bigger puff.
And it begins to rise up into the sky,
To that blue sky,
That blue sky.
I think we all know what that looks like.
And as it's floating,
You watch it as the wind takes it and it begins to rise up higher and higher.
Maybe higher than any little dandelion tuft has gone before.
And it's rising up so high.
Soon you begin to see more than just the field.
You see what surrounds the field.
And it's pretty beautiful.
There's a river flowing,
Sort of winding in that snake-like picture.
And there's also a forest.
Didn't know a forest could look so pretty.
With a green pine tree maybe.
Whatever the forest looks like to you.
Densely packed in.
There's no buildings,
No spaces for anything to be there but just that forest.
And as the staphylid stuff floats,
You're floating with it.
Perhaps feeling the lightness,
The airiness that she's feeling.
Breathe.
