Coming into the body right in this moment,
Can you give yourself permission?
To be just as you are and allowing for however you're feeling right now to be a yes.
A yes for right now.
Maybe the body is tired.
Maybe there's stories about the body.
But can we give permission?
A yes for now.
To whatever our experience is.
We may try and change it.
But there's nothing wrong.
I am safe.
I am safe.
And if thoughts come up,
Can we be kind to them?
As kind as we're offering this gratitude to our body.
Our body just how it is.
Not how it once was or will be.
But right now,
Can you get a sense of where your breath is?
Welcoming the breath.
Maybe at the tip of the nose,
The chest,
The throat,
Or maybe even the belly.
Thank you,
Breath.
Thank you,
Friend.
And observing with kindness.
The breath as it goes in and out.
Without us even asking to.
Our body is trying to work for us.
Thank you,
Breath.
And what about our hands?
Can we sense the aliveness in our hands?
The subtleties,
Fingertips,
Maybe even the temperature.
Thank you,
Hands.
Thank you for holding me up,
Even when I thought I couldn't.
Thank you,
Hands,
For giving me something to hold.
I sense you.
I feel you.
What about our feet?
Ah,
The places they have taken us.
One foot in front of the other.
Thank you,
Feet.
I may not have said it enough,
But thank you.
How do you feel today?
Tender,
Cold,
Warm.
I notice you.
I thank you.
And what about our stomach?
Oh,
We may battle,
But my stomach,
Thank you.
Maybe you can feel the rise and fall.
Maybe a belly that's full or not so full.
That too.
Just as you are.
Permission as you are.
Thank you for always being there,
Digesting everything that's going on around.
Thank you.
Can you soften the stomach,
Allowing an opportunity of grace and forgiveness?
Oh,
Stomach,
Thank you.
And can you bring that softness,
The kindness back to your heart?
Can you sense your heart beating?
Color?
Strength?
Just as you are.
Thank you.
I may not ask you to work,
And you still do.
Thank you,
Kind heart.
And even though we battle against ourselves sometimes,
We can be grateful for the entire experience of our body,
From the top of our heads to the bottom of our toes,
Experiencing thanks and kindness for the experience of your body.
And if the story of your body gets in the way,
Notice it with kindness.
I see you.
And I want to thank my body.
In these final moments,
Can you infuse your body from the top of the head to the bottom of the toes with an intention?
A word,
A feeling of gratitude for your body,
Just as it is right now,
And allowing for now a thank you.
Thank you.
