Welcome to your courage visualization.
We cannot cultivate courage without fear.
Courage is our ability to go through the things which brighten us most in order to achieve our desires.
It is choosing to act from a place of hope,
Inspiration,
And optimism,
And push through our fears.
This meditation is designed for you to detach from your fears and connect with your prefrontal cortex which is your home to your optimal and logical self.
Because as many of us know,
The only way we can get to our desire is by getting there and by going through fear because there's no way around it.
So start to settle into this space and get ready to detach from your fears.
You start to notice this unsettling bit inside of you as you try to calm down.
This meditation is particularly for fear of the unknown and fear of your next step.
Now that you've acknowledged how you're feeling at this time,
Start to settle in to the present space around you.
Start to lengthen your spine.
Start to unburrow your brows,
Removing your tongue from the roof of your mouth.
Just rolling your shoulders down and back as you notice the natural rhythm of your breath.
Noticing the pace of your heartbeat at this time,
Acknowledging it without judgment,
And knowing that you're on the path to courage.
Just release the judgment and know that you can release the fear along with it.
Release the anger you might feel directed towards yourself.
As you know,
This will not help you.
Start to notice the parts of your body that are in contact with your clothing.
Notice in your left big toe how your right wrist feels,
Directing your attention to your collarbone.
How does each strand of hair feel on top of your head?
Start to connect with the space you exist in,
In the here and now.
Without this meditation,
To guide you back to this space,
Listen to the furthest sound away that you can hear.
Is it the street across the way?
Is it the humming of a fan?
Can you hear the wind howling outside?
Whatever the furthest sound away you can hear is,
Start to notice and connect with it.
As new thoughts come in,
Acknowledge them.
Start to imagine a wave pulling you back.
Without anger and frustration,
Just allow your mind to think as it does.
And know that,
Just as your heart beats,
Just as you breathe,
Your mind is designed to think thoughts.
So acknowledge them and reconnect back to your inner self.
Taking a few deep breaths here,
Start to feel your presence as you're safe in the now.
Because in the now where you exist,
The uncertainty that waits outside and the unknown isn't here.
You just have abstract thoughts and abstract fears.
The what ifs scare us the most.
The scenarios that we make up.
Just like in the movie Jaws,
It took them so long to bring out the shark.
Because as you can imagine back in that time period,
It was hard to make such a ferocious beast.
So they had to use your imagination.
And your imagination the whole time with that theme song creates a fearful experience inside of you.
I want you to connect to that fear.
The fear of the unknown.
Or the fear of your next step.
The fear of the how.
The how scares us the most.
How do we align to this?
How do we connect to this?
The thing is that everyone has fears.
We all breathe the same air.
We all feel fear at times.
But some of us don't let our fear consume us.
Some of us choose to act with courage.
And you are one of the some of us.
Think of a place where that fear exists inside of you.
Imagine it.
Fear for me exists just below my belly button.
So I often find myself shrugging my shoulders inwards.
Protecting myself.
If you've noticed,
You punch forward.
Release your shoulders back in straight alignment.
Put your hand on that fear center.
Just taking a second to acknowledge the way your mind is designed to work.
Your mind is designed to avoid.
It's designed to avoid how you don't want to feel.
To avoid the thing you fear most.
It is not designed to go for what you want most.
That's leading with courage.
The courage to act full force and go for your desires.
I want you to imagine a bubble in front of you floating,
Connecting to your stomach.
The center of you.
I want you to imagine everything you fear inside of that bubble.
Is it the step you don't know?
Or is it the step that you do know that you must take that scares you?
Is it the judgment of others?
Is it feeling?
Is it the risk of losing all your money?
Supporting those around you?
Never being seen.
Being seen and unloved the wrong way.
That scares you.
Imagine it.
Feel it in your body as it leaves going into that bubble.
Taking a deep breath,
Finding any last minute fears and acknowledging their existence.
I want you to imagine the fear of the risk.
The risk that is required for freedom and independence.
The risk you don't want to take but must take to achieve this.
I want you to imagine a smaller purple bubble connecting out from the bubble floating in front of you.
I want you to imagine that this bubble is growing and it's sucking all the wisdom out from the larger bubble.
It's sucking all the wisdom out,
Sucking all the knowledge and sucking all the answers that you need to hear because worrying is like a rocking chair.
You don't get anywhere.
You ruminate in it.
You fire up the systems in your body and your autonomic nervous system and instead of facing that fear or using your resources when you're ready,
It wastes them over and over again using all your resources up.
So when it's time to act,
You have nothing left.
I want you to release the worry of these fears as the wisdom flows into that next bubble.
Notice that you're taking all your opinions,
All your decisions and all your answers from those fears.
Just giving a couple more seconds for this bubble to fill up with all the knowledge that you need to go forward.
I want you to imagine this bubble floats away,
This purple bubble,
And floats to the top of your head.
Just ponders connecting to your third eye.
Now this bubble of fear that's connected to you,
I want you to imagine that you have a knife and on the count of three,
You're going to imagine yourself slicing or detaching from these fears.
Detaching them so you can analyze them without judgment.
Detaching from them so that you can go forward with courage.
On the count of three,
You're going to slice this bubble that's attached to you.
One,
Two,
Three.
And you release this bubble,
This cord,
Detaches.
As this bubble floats away,
It's no longer for you to worry about.
It's no longer a part of you.
It no longer carries the same emotion.
I want you to imagine this purple bubble connecting to your third eye.
I want you to imagine it flowing closer and closer to you until it floats and connects in between your two eyebrows.
It becomes a part of you.
The wisdom,
The knowledge,
The skills you need to embark forward,
The knowings that you need to overcome to act from courage.
And when you need to be courageous,
I want you to connect to this point of your body.
I want you to imagine that spot between your eyebrows.
Even when you're stressed,
You will borrow them and continue to embark forward.
Because as you know,
There's nothing to fear but fear itself.
And your what ifs often do not come true.
Especially since you can create your circumstances.
Especially with the law of averages.
As long as you take that next step.
I want you to imagine that courage is rising from your whole body.
There's a glowing light all around you,
Connecting to you.
You're going to nurture this courage.
I want you to imagine your brain.
I want you to create a set point.
Imagine the dial at the front of your forehead.
To the left is fear.
To the right is courage.
Courage among unforeseen circumstances.
I want you to imagine the dial going all the way to the right as you embark forward.
I want you to imagine that as new things come up,
You're going to override your brain.
And that you're going to give your brain what it needs.
The safety and consistency it needs to connect back to the present.
Now I want you to imagine the next step that you can take.
The next step to support your dreams,
To support your desires.
That very next step that you can take to support courage.
I want you to imagine a mini version of yourself.
A version of yourself when you're under the age of 10.
I want you to imagine how courageous you need to be not to let that little version of you down.
Because their head was full of dreams and desires.
We were born into this world with two fears.
A fear of loud noises and a fear of falling.
Every other fear that we've created has come from our internal and external environment.
I want you to imagine that brave little kid and all the things they wanted.
I want you to imagine how courageous you need to be to get it for them.
And better yet,
I want you to imagine the risk of not being courageous.
The risk of not taking your next step.
Now that you've established what will happen if you stay where you are,
And that in itself is fearful too.
I want you to connect back to that spot between your two eyebrows and burying them and connecting to the courage you need to take your next step forward.
I want you to take two more deep breaths.
And when you open your eyes,
I want you to imagine the courage flowing through you,
Through your veins,
That you need to go forth.
The courage you need to cultivate with you for this next day.
