We'll take three audible breaths together.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Let the exhale be full and open.
This kind of breathing helps calm the nervous system and signals to the body,
You're safe,
You're here,
You can let go.
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale and exhale.
One more breath in,
And let it go.
From this quiet place,
I offer you these words.
Dear Higher Power,
I've tried to manage everything on my own.
I've clung so tightly to control,
To certainty,
To what I thought should happen.
But today,
I want to try something different.
I surrender.
Not because I've failed,
But because I'm tired.
Because I want peace more than I want control.
Because I don't want to carry this alone anymore.
I surrender my fears.
I surrender my timelines.
I surrender my need to know how it all works out.
Teach me how to loosen my grip.
Help me hand over what I was never meant to hold.
Remind me that surrender is strength,
Not weakness.
Even if I can't let go all at once,
Show me how to release one small thing today,
And then another tomorrow.
I want to trust that something wiser is holding this with me.
That I don't have to figure it all out right now.
That I can breathe.
I leave this in your hands.
