Hello,

This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation.

In today's meditation,

We're going to open our heart to emotional awareness,

A place where we can go to and feel our emotions,

Sit with our emotions,

And come to a place of wholeness.

So let's begin by feathering our nest and getting as comfortable as you can,

Closing our eyes,

And let's take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through our nose,

And release.

Let's do that one more time,

Deep breath in through your nose,

And let it go.

Allow your body to come to a place of comfort,

Of complete relaxation,

Of quieting our minds so we can listen to the whispers of our heart.

And let's bring some awareness to our body.

What are we feeling right now?

Do we have any blockages or constrictions?

Do we need to let go of things that no longer serves us?

And let's bring some awareness to our face.

Let's make sure that our brow is relaxed.

We hold so much tension in this area of our body.

Just let it go.

Your eyes are gently closed and not straining.

Your mouth is relaxed.

Your jaw is unclenched.

And your shoulders are relaxed away from your ears.

Remember to breathe.

Gentle inhales,

And innocent releases out.

Feel your body relaxing.

Your mind is slowing down just a little bit.

Let's float here for just a few moments.

Breathing in and out.

And now,

Let's come to a place of awareness of our emotions.

Think of something that makes you smile,

Like the last time you were on vacation or your most recent celebration.

Witness your emotions as they flow through you.

What does it feel like?

How does your body respond?

Become aware.

What are you feeling right now?

Now,

Place your awareness to another experience from the past week.

Something a little bit more complex than a vacation.

Place your hand on your heart and take a deep breath in.

Conjure the experience in your mind's eye.

How does it make you feel?

What emotions are arising?

Sit with it for a few moments and give names to the various ways it makes you feel.

Take your time.

What emotions were you aware of?

Maybe you were feeling joy and happiness.

Or maybe you were feeling anger,

Fear,

Or sadness.

Whatever emotion surfaced,

It's okay.

Becoming emotionally aware means we sit in those emotions.

We become clear with what our heart is feeling.

Being aware of our emotions brings peace to our heart,

Clarity,

And a sense of wholeness.

Now,

Let's take it a little bit deeper and we're going to use a mantra to help us come to a place of wholeness,

Of becoming aware of our emotions.

The mantra we are using today is Tat Vam Asi.

Tat Vam I see simply translates to I am that.

Tat Vam Asi.

And gently repeat this mantra over and over.

Tat Vam Asi.

And if at any time during this meditation you have physical sensations,

Noises,

Or thoughts,

That's okay.

We come back to Tat Vam Asi.

Tat Vam Asi.

I am that.

Tat Vam Asi.

Tat Vam Asi.

I am that.

Tat Vam Asi.

Tat Vam Asi.

Tat Vam Asi.

I am that.

Tat Vam Asi.

And now let's sit in silence and stillness.

Allow the vibration of Tat Vam Asi to expand all over your body,

Your heart,

Your soul,

And your spirit.

Tat Vam Asi.

And now let's take a deep breath.

Deep breath in.

And release.

Let's do that one more time.

Deep breath in.

And we're going to seal this meditation by chanting Aum together,

The hymn of the universe.

Aum.

Let's put our hands together to our heart center and say Namaste.

I honor the vine light in you that is also in me.

And when you're in that space and I'm in that space,

We are one.

Namaste.

This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation sending you love and light.
