Hello my friend,
My name is Kalyani.
Thank you so much for joining me today for the safe anchor.
This is a meditation to help you in overcoming anxiety.
Finding a sense of safety in the present moment.
While remaining open to higher awareness.
As well as allowing you to feel grounded.
And reminding you that you belong.
It's the first in a series of short meditations that connect chakra pairs to help you feel more balanced and at ease.
So welcome to this healing space.
In today's session,
We will be connecting the root and crown chakras,
Exploring grounding and belonging.
Before we begin,
Take some time to breathe out any stress and tension from your day.
Giving yourself permission to be fully present.
Fully aware.
Feel free to look around your room.
And notice what you can see.
Aware of the space around you in this moment.
Acknowledging that you are here in this room right now and you are in control of this practice.
You can keep your eyes open with a soft downward gaze.
Or gently close them if that feels more comfortable to you.
Bring your awareness to all parts of your body that are making physical contact with the surface beneath you.
Feel sensations at each point of contact.
Notice how the surface beneath you holds your weight completely.
No need for you to do any work to hold yourself up.
You are allowed to rest.
Give yourself permission to really let go.
For this brief moment we have together.
Is it possible to hand over 5% more of your weight?
So there is less for you to hold.
And more of you to be held.
Gently guide your attention to the base of your spine.
Your root chakra.
Visualize a soft,
Warm,
Red light here.
It doesn't need to be bright or intense.
A glowing ember is enough.
Or perhaps you imagine it like a beautiful rose.
Or a ruby red ball of swirling energy.
However you experience your root chakra is okay.
See or feel this red light moving.
From the base of your spine.
Down through your legs and into your feet.
Allow that light to begin to grow roots from the soles of your feet.
Feel your roots breaking through the floor.
Deep into the steady,
Unmoving Earth below.
Allow your roots to grow deep and wide.
Creating a strong and steady foundation.
And then scan your body for all old emotions.
As you inhale,
Gather them up.
With every exhale,
Breathe them down through your roots,
Handing them over to Mother Earth.
Breathe out all stress and tension.
Sending it down into the earth to be transformed.
Give Mother Earth all of your worries.
All of your anxiety and fear.
Give her all of the burdens you have been carrying.
Send them down.
Handing over everything that no longer serves you.
While you keep a gentle awareness on your roots.
Feeling them keeping you anchored and secure.
Slowly invite your attention to travel up your spine.
All the way up to the very top of your head.
And feel your crown chakra.
Visualize a soft,
Spacious white light at the top of your head.
Or feel it as a tingling sensation.
And this is your connection to the divine.
This center represents your inherent belonging to the universe.
Just as you are.
Without needing to prove anything.
You are loved and accepted.
Imperfectly imperfect.
And nothing more is asked of you.
Now let's breathe between these two points.
Connecting root to crown.
Grounding to source.
As you breathe in,
Feel yourself drawing steady.
Grounding stability.
Up from the earth to the top of your head.
And as you breathe out,
Spiritual consciousness moves through you,
Down to meet the Earth Feel that stable energy rising to soften your crown.
Opening you to spaciousness and peace.
Grounding down and opening up.
Allow yourself to feel like a tunnel for universal breath and healing energy to flow through you.
Heaven meeting earth within you.
Simply allow yourself to be a clear channel.
Breath moving up and down the center of your body.
Unhindered.
Unblock.
You may feel this as sensation.
Or see it as light.
It really doesn't matter.
Simply follow the rise and fall of your breath within your body with awareness.
And if your mind wanders off,
It's okay.
The mind is designed to think.
Gently bring your focus back to the physical feeling of your body being held and supported The ground is steady.
You are held in this breath.
Wrapped in divine love.
Supported and at ease.
Take three more slow,
Deep breaths here.
At your own pace.
Savoring the feeling of being held Take a moment to cultivate gratitude in your heart.
For your ability to connect root and crown.
To experience grounding and belonging once more.
The heart is the great unifier,
Bridging the lower physical centers with the upper spiritual ones.
And when you feel ready,
Blink your eyes open with a smile.
Ready to greet the rest of your day.
From a grounded and connected place within you.
Make today a great day my friend.
