Hello my friend,
My name is Kalyani,
And I invite you to join me for a short and sweet powerful break from your day.
Each mindful minute's practice is a soft landing.
A gentle reorientation.
A way of remembering yourself.
In the midst of the chaos of everyday life.
Bringing peace to your mind.
And ease to your body.
As we regulate our nervous system in small,
Bite-sized practices.
You deserve this time to feel better.
Today's topic is finding wholeness.
Take a few long,
Slow breaths as together we push the pause button on our day.
Inviting the eyes to close gently for just a few moments.
And begin to ride the wave of your breath in and out of your body.
Breathing out the past and any emotions that come with it breathing out the future and any emotions that come with it.
Fully committing to being right here right now and each time your mind wanders off.
Just lovingly guide it back to riding the wave of your breath.
Without judgment.
Noticing the thought means that you are doing this right.
Wholeness is the state of feeling complete.
Unbroken.
Healthy in our mind,
Body,
And spirit.
Where every part of you is working in harmony.
And there is nothing missing.
But for many of us,
This feeling can be elusive.
Mentally our life.
Our experiences and our thoughts of the past can all chip away at our feeling of wholeness we may not feel an emotional state of balance and ease.
For us,
Life may feel like a turbulent ocean storm.
Tossing us about.
As we venture in and out of fear.
Anxiety.
Anger and frustration.
We may feel the need to put on a brave face every day.
Not allowing others to see the storm raging just below the surface.
Fear of judgment may cause us to tuck away this feeling of being broken.
And empty.
Worried about what others may think or say.
Physically,
Wholeness means being free from injury or disease.
Functioning as a healthy working system.
But that can also be difficult or impossible for some of us to achieve.
Through illness or injury,
We may have lost a part of ourselves.
Literally having parts of our body removed.
And we may not realize that we need to process that loss.
We need to grieve for the part of our body that was removed or damaged.
Body grief is normal.
It involves mourning not just the physical loss of form or function,
But also the change in your identity.
The change in your independence the change in your body image.
We need to grieve the loss of the life we were leading.
And forge a new path forward.
But wholeness is not simply having four limbs.
Or a body free from injury and trauma.
Wholeness is the deep knowing that you are complete within yourself.
Just as you are.
Your worth is separate from your appearance or your ability.
Be kind and gentle with yourself as you learn a new way of doing things.
Giving yourself grace for the emotions that seem to come out of nowhere.
Spiritually,
Wholeness means a sense of inner peace.
A sense of purpose.
And a connection to something larger than ourselves.
Alignment with the divine.
Sometimes people mix up healing and wholeness.
Healing is a temporary process of fixing a problem or ailment.
Wholeness,
On the other hand,
Is an enduring state of being.
Feeling complete.
I have heard it said that healing is the journey.
And wholeness is the destination.
The good news is that in the space of a few breaths,
Profound awareness can emerge.
So together,
Let's begin a mindfulness breath.
To see what comes up for you.
Simply repeat in your mind's eye.
As you exhale.
I am breathing out.
And as you inhale,
Mentally repeat.
I am breathing in.
I am breathing out I am breathing in.
Be fully present with each and every breath.
Notice sensations and emotions that rise up.
Being mindful is enough.
I am breathing out.
I am breathing in.
No judgment.
No expectations.
Simple presence.
Breathing out the feeling of being broken.
I am breathing in wholeness,
Reclaiming pieces of me that I have lost.
Breathing out self-criticism Breathing in acceptance,
I love this body just as it is.
Breathing out sadness and loss Breathing in acceptance and love.
Breathing out suffering Breathing in ease Breathing out old memories.
Breathing in limitless possibilities.
Come back to riding the wave of your breath now.
Feel it moving comfortably in and out of your body.
Sending gratitude into your body for carrying you through this life.
Grateful for it making it through so much.
Cultivating gratitude for your mind.
For the ability to rewrite your story.
No longer a victim.
You rise stronger.
Forged by the fire of challenge.
You didn't give up.
You didn't surrender.
Invite your light to shine brightly.
Be the lighthouse in the storms of life.
As you shine your own unique light.
You give permission to others to leave the darkness of doubt.
The storm clouds of anger will part.
And you will guide them back to their wholeness through your example.
Thank you for doing the work.
Thank you for rising out of the mud.
Into a beautiful shining example of triumph.
Be proud of yourself.
Be proud of your journey.
Welcoming a feeling of finally being at home within yourself once more.
Feeling complete you found your wholeness Until next time,
I wish you well my friend.
Have a great day.
