So we've just done a yin practice to cultivate an enriched sense of self-energy at the hara,

Which we could say is the feminine principle of our subtle body.

It's the what we call the upaya,

The undoing.

The masculine wisdom center is the heart.

It's the yang,

Whereas hara is the yin.

It's the space where we cultivate or awaken the traits of a practitioner.

If hara is innate,

The heart mind must be efforted and refined.

One of the attitudes of the heart view is that we work through our own painful content to be of service to others.

So on the inhale,

Three breaths,

Noticing a lifting or a buoyancy of awareness into the heart.

As if each inhale lifts the heart space past the boundaries of the skin,

Interconnecting us with all sentient beings,

Their radiant hearts as well.

And then I want you to notice three more breaths,

But on exhale at the hara,

The undoing,

The release,

The surrendering,

The yin is the exhale,

And that is home of hara,

The low belly.

We're going to work to balance the two because there's a tendency to fall out of balance with one,

Too much yin or too much yang,

Too much lethargy and apathy or too much frustration and aggression,

Overwhelm.

So I want you to inhale from the heart down into the low belly,

Bringing the yang breath of the inhale to the yin site at the hara,

And then exhale and draw the yin chi up to the yang side of the heart.

Inhale from the heart to the hara,

And exhale from the hara to the heart.

Keep that breath going.

Like you're soothing any erotic yang energy in the cool pool of the center.

But then you're also adding buoyancy or activity into any sense of lethargy or depression and reach that up into the heart.

Next time you inhale from the heart to the hara,

Pause at the top of the breath,

Kumbhaka,

Breath retention and just feel the fullness of the belly as the lungs are filled.

Feel the swirling of yang chi at the yin site.

And then exhale and draw the yin up from hara to the divine heart realm and hold at the bottom of the exhale as you feel the heart spacious and open like the sky.

One more time inhaling heart down to hara,

Holding here and feel the content,

The richness,

The pulse of life force balancing yin and yang at the center residence.

And then exhale from the hara to the heart,

Awakening the heart mind at the bottom of the exhale and taking up full residence in the heart.

experienced an amazing shift in awareness through this breath practice. feeling strong vibrations at the center of my chest. during this practice, I was reminded of how complete, free, and sovereign I already am. the objective is never to reclaim, it is simply to remember. grateful for this practice.
