This gentle guided practice supports children after friendship difficulties or social wobbles during the school day. It helps students notice their feelings while also recognising that they are safe and supported in the present moment. The track encourages emotional awareness, a sense of steadiness in the body, and the understanding that big feelings are easier when shared with a trusted adult. It's designed for classroom use to help children settle without dismissing their experience.

This is a short,

Calm moment for children aged 6 to 9.

A teacher or adult should be with you while you listen.

You don't have to do this perfectly,

Just give it a try.

Get your body into a position that feels comfortable and supported.

You might be sitting on a chair,

On the floor,

On a cushion or bean bag,

Leaning gently against a wall or something steady,

Or lying down if your teacher says that's okay.

Sometimes at recess or break time,

Friendship things can feel hard.

Someone might not include you.

A game might change.

Words might feel sharper than you expected.

Or something might just feel a bit off inside.

If something like that happened,

You're not the only one.

Friendship feelings are a part of being human.

Right now,

Take a slow breath in through your nose and let it out through your mouth.

You don't have to understand the feeling just yet and you don't have to fix it just yet either.

See if you can notice that even with this feeling,

Your body is safe right now.

You're in a room with adults who care about you.

You're surrounded by other kids who are learning too.

The feeling can stay,

But your body can still soften a little bit.

Big feelings are easier when we share them with someone safe.

So if you need help with this later,

Your teacher is someone you can talk to.

Take a moment to notice the chair or the floor holding onto you.

Notice your feet or legs.

Notice your breath moving in and out.

If your mind keeps going back to what happened,

That's okay.

Gently come back to noticing where you are right now.

Take one more breath together.

In through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

When you're ready,

Make sure you share your story with someone.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes.

And just remember,

You're safe here in this space.
