Hello and welcome to your five-minute meditation for a happy life.
Let's begin.
You are invited to bring your body into a position that is right for you and if you would like to close your eyes then close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply.
Inhaling deeply and exhaling fully.
Inhaling deeply and exhaling fully.
Inhaling deeply again and exhaling fully.
And on your next inhale perhaps extending the breath to four seconds long.
So inhaling now for four seconds and exhaling for four seconds.
Inhaling for four and exhaling for four.
Inhaling again for four seconds and exhaling again for four.
Continuing to breathe deeply you're invited now to bring all of your awareness into your heart.
Bringing all of your attention into your heart and this may be the physical heart or it may be the space around the heart energetically that is often referred to as the heart chakra.
But becoming fully aware of the sensations in your heart and continuing to breathe deeply.
Recall now something that makes you happy.
It may be a memory,
It may be a loved one,
It may be imagery,
It may be a small animal or a place you visited.
Something that makes you happy.
And feel that happiness now in your heart and notice how your heart feels.
And perhaps now invite this happy feeling to spread through your torso.
Filling your torso and now spreading to your shoulders,
Down your arms to your hands.
Spreading this happy feeling up the neck and throughout the head.
Spreading this happy feeling down the hips,
Down the legs to the feet.
So that the whole body is filled with this happy feeling.
And notice how the body feels as it is filled with this happiness.
Breathing deeply.
Perhaps now invite this happy feeling to spread beyond the boundaries of the physical body.
So this happy feeling that began in the heart and spread throughout the body now overflows from the body and fills the space around you.
And maybe noticing this happy feeling spreading through your day.
Breathing deeply and feeling this happiness spread through your day.
And if you would like then even spreading this happy feeling through your life.
Inviting it to fill your life.
Breathing deeply.
Noticing how life feels when it is filled with happiness.
And now beginning to bring the attention back into the body.
Noticing the arms and the legs,
The head and the torso.
And bringing the awareness gently back to the heart.
So that all of the awareness is now back in the heart.
And noticing how the heart is feeling.
And noticing also the breath as we inhale deeply.
And exhale fully.
Inhaling deeply again.
And exhaling fully.
And if the eyes were closed then you're now invited to open the eyes.
Noticing the space around you.
Becoming more present in the body.
Beginning to move the body.
To stretch it.
And coming fully present back in your day.
Knowing that your five minute meditation is now complete.
