Hello beloved,
And welcome to a meditation for opening your heart.
Please find yourself in a comfortable position with a straight elongated spine.
This could be seated or laying down.
Once you've gotten comfortable,
Begin by deepening your breath,
Inhaling through the nose and letting the breath expand into the belly and the chest and exhaling completely.
If you like,
Let the first few be heavy sighs at the mouth.
And then come back to breathing just in and out the nose,
Nice deep breaths.
Noticing if you can lengthen each inhale and each exhale,
Allowing your body to become soft to release any tension with your exhales,
Letting yourself sink deeper and deeper into a state of peace and relaxation.
It is in this space,
I'd like you to draw your attention to your heart.
Just becoming aware of what's going on in this center of our being.
Is it guarded?
What emotions are present?
Are there any feelings that maybe are past their due date?
Expand your awareness out to your body and notice any tension in any spots.
Sometimes we hold tension in our bodies because of the feelings that we are holding on to.
If you're holding tension,
Continue to use your exhale to release anything that does not belong,
To relax your muscles and use your inhales to fill those places with love,
Acceptance,
Peace.
And when your body is relaxed,
Come back to your heart center and once again check in.
What feelings are present?
If you are finding any blocks or any disturbing emotions,
I encourage you to pause this meditation and go back to your body as often and as much as you need.
Your heart is feeling ready,
Not too tender,
Then focus your attention as if you are growing a beautiful blue lotus in the center of your heart,
Planting the seed and letting it water.
As you breathe and your chest expands,
Notice yourself in a state of deep relaxation.
If it feels good,
You can bring a hand to your heart.
Feel the beating in your chest and give a greeting to your heart and gratitude for all that it does for you,
For all that it's been through.
Thank you.
Thank you for being with me,
For not giving up on me,
For pushing me through even the darkest moments.
I'm so glad you're there for me.
Keep your breath nice and slow,
Long,
Steady,
Inhaling and exhaling and allow yourself to allow peace,
To allow forgiveness for past hurt,
Making room for gratitude,
Gratitude for all of the lessons that came with heartache and hurt and all the joy that love can bring.
Allow yourself to welcome new joy,
New love.
Allow your heart to soften so it can receive,
So it can give and love can flow freely in and out in a gentle ebb and flow.
With your hand on your heart,
Take a moment to think of something that you're grateful for,
It can be big or small or just the idea of what gratitude feels like.
Letting this warmth and appreciation radiate out from your heart.
Every inhale,
Letting this gratitude spread out so your whole being is filled.
It's a warm gratitude,
The lightness,
It's a relief.
As you continue breathing,
Notice how far out you can expand this gratitude.
Can you fill your home,
Your neighborhood?
Can you expand to encompass the whole globe or out to reach other galaxies?
Pushing the limits,
Knowing that love is limitless,
You can extend beyond eternally.
On the next inhale,
Allow this attention that's going outward to come back in.
Connecting this gratitude and appreciation for yourself,
For all of your experiences,
For everything you have and that you do not have.
Letting yourself be fully in this moment exactly as you are,
Knowing that you are enough,
You are worthy.
And not only are you loved,
But you are love.
It is innate in your being and flows naturally in and out of you.
Take a few breaths,
Bringing energy into your body,
Waking yourself first with the breath.
And then you can begin making small movements until you're finally fully back into the present,
Back into this world of the everyday.
And I invite you with both hands at heart center to bow to yourself in gratitude for taking the time for you today,
For taking the time for love.
Many blessings on your path.
You are so loved.
