Hello beloved and welcome to a meditation on letting go.
Releasing your mind.
Find yourself in a comfortable seated or laying down position with an elongated spine.
Take a few breaths in through the nose and down into the belly.
Breathing into the present moment and letting go of any tension in your body.
Give yourself permission to fully relax.
Each day you have endless opportunities to allow your thinking to be still,
Calm and quiet.
Let's take this opportunity as a moment to practice this stillness.
You may choose a topic or a word to think about such as love or peace.
You may find with your eyes closed as if you were looking towards your third eye,
Gazing out across the horizon you gently lift your gaze.
This will lead you to your third eye center.
I invite you as thoughts come in,
Allow yourself to notice them and allow them to pass by as if we are on a bright summer day noticing distant clouds,
Seeing what they are and letting them pass gently in the wind.
Thoughts may come to us in waves seemingly endless as they lap against the shore.
Invite yourself to be the witness,
To see and acknowledge the thoughts that come up.
Notice if they are repeating.
Notice the feeling behind them and then let them go and come back into your center.
Feel the support beneath you,
Every spot that your body touches the earth touches your clothing.
Feel your breath gently coming in and out.
Observe the rise and fall of your belly.
Listen to the sounds around you.
In this meditation recording you may have noticed the gentle pattering of rain in the background.
Perhaps there are birds outside.
Allow yourself to also notice any sounds that may be regularly deemed as negative such as traffic.
And here you have a couple options,
You can observe the sounds and also as the witness observe your reaction to the sound.
You can allow these sounds to bring you deeper into the present moment in the physical space that you're in.
You can also choose which sound you would like to direct your focus onto or to try to remove yourself entirely from these sounds and senses.
Just like our thoughts we can choose the emphasis that we give and the power that we give to our thoughts.
Allow yourself to feel your body,
The sensations going on inside from the top of your head,
All the way down to your toes,
Taking note of what your body is telling you.
And gently come back to the breath,
The anchor of the present moment.
Confirm to yourself,
I am in control of my thoughts,
My mind is free,
I feel at peace,
I have stillness within me,
I am calm,
My mind is gentle.
It feels good to you,
Choose one of these affirmations or create one of your own to carry with you through the day.
Stay in this state of mind as long as you're comfortable and when you're ready gently bring yourself back into the present,
Into the movement of the day and I hope that you have an absolutely wonderful day.
Many blessings on your path.
