Hello,
And welcome to The Daily Insight.
My name is Julie Riesler,
And today we will be focusing on cultivating gratitude.
Gratitude is one of the elixirs of life.
It is the key that unlocks our feeling of deep connection,
Inner peace,
Joy,
And love.
Gratitude can be cultivated at any time,
Dear friend,
At any point in our life that we choose to become awake,
Aware,
And conscious.
It is a choice to be grateful,
And that choice can be made at any time.
I'm so honored to be here with you today and to reconnect to the essence of you,
Your body,
Your life,
And to help you create and cultivate gratitude and appreciation so that you may be the most radiant light that can shine peace and joy and gratitude to the world.
One of my favorite quotes is by Wayne Dyer,
A visionary,
Luminary,
Thought leader,
Beautiful soul.
He said,
When we change the way we look at things,
The things we look at change.
And so I invite you in this meditation today to be open to viewing aspects of your life from a new perspective.
We're going to cultivate an attitude of gratitude from lessons learned and for where we are right now.
And with that,
I invite you to find a comfortable,
Peaceful place where you can sit,
Support it,
Or laying down,
Getting quiet,
Coming home to your breath,
To your body,
To the sacred temple that is you.
And I invite you to put one hand on your heart,
Maybe two.
Just breathing in peace,
Exhaling peace.
And let us begin right where we are,
Right at our heart.
Let us connect and say thank you to our heart,
To the aspect of ourselves that shines and shares love,
Connection,
Grace,
And compassion.
I invite you,
Dear soul,
To feel your hand or hands on your heart,
Feel the beating,
Pulsing,
That life force that is circulating nonstop around the clock on your behalf in service of you being here as a sacred being,
Continuously pulsing love throughout your whole body automatically.
There is nothing you need to do.
Your heart is in love with you and is here for you.
Let us pause and say thank you.
Thank you,
Dear heart.
Thank you for loving me and supporting me and guiding me and protecting me and allowing me to live,
To radiate,
To be well,
And to be present on this planet right now.
Take a moment in your own words to thank your heart.
Beautiful.
There are studies that show from the Heart Map Institute that our hearts are incredible magnets of love,
Energy,
That while they are separate in each of us,
We are all connected by this magnetic and energetic field.
And so as you cultivate gratitude for your own heart,
Let's pause and let's think of those that we love and let's think of those that we want to have more compassion for.
And I invite you to bring them into your heart,
Literally and figuratively picture them in your heart,
And give them the same amount of gratitude and appreciation.
Give their heart thanks for allowing them to be here with you as well and on the planet.
Take a few moments to see who pops up for you.
Who can you be grateful for?
Who are your teachers that you can be grateful for?
Who are those that have been wise and guided you?
Let us give thanks for their heart right now.
Wonderful.
And now I invite you to go back into the landscape of your own body temple and to choose one area or perhaps your whole body,
But one area that you really want to think and appreciate.
If you've had children,
Maybe it's your womb,
Maybe it's your hands over your heart,
Maybe it's your ears that are listening to this meditation,
Maybe it's your belly and your digestion that has digested all of what you've eaten and all the thoughts that you've thought.
Take a moment to reflect,
To invite that part of you that is asking for love and appreciation and gratitude and give it your attention and compassion.
Beautiful.
Notice dear soul,
How does it feel now?
Ten minutes into this meditation,
Focusing on appreciation and gratitude,
How does that feel in your body?
Maybe there's a deeper sense of calm and peace.
Maybe you feel lighter or refreshed.
The beautiful thing about gratitude is that it's free,
It's always available,
And it just means becoming a little bit more awake and aware and saying,
How might I learn and appreciate from this moment?
So I invite you to think of a lesson or time in your life that might have been more of a challenge.
Maybe it was a hill to climb,
A lesson to learn,
And I want you to reflect upon how that experience gave you the wisdom,
The insight,
The learning,
The compassion,
The knowledge that you now have.
Take a few moments to appreciate and be grateful for that lesson,
For that experience,
Whatever it might have been.
Notice how it feels.
To find the gratitude,
To sift for the gift in those moments that might have been some of our most challenging experiences.
We cannot change the past.
We have not yet lived the future.
All we truly have is right now in this present moment.
This secret to deeper peace,
Contentment,
Love,
Beautiful connection,
Abundance,
And joy is gratitude.
I invite you to come back to this practice anytime.
Maybe you're in a situation right now that feels overwhelming or stressful.
I have been there too.
I invite you to start asking yourself new questions,
To start looking for ways that you can be grateful,
To ask yourself,
How is this serving my highest good?
What can I learn from this experience?
Maybe it's around your job or family or loved one or your health.
What is the gift here?
What is it that you came here to learn?
And how can you be grateful right now?
What are the gifts?
I invite you to use these questions anytime you're in a moment that feels unsettling,
Frustrating,
Confusing,
Or stressful.
Dear friends,
We all have those moments.
Trying to cultivate gratitude,
Especially during those experiences,
Will change the way that you respond to all of your life.
And so let us conclude by putting hands to heart,
Feeling the beating again of that life force,
Beautiful magnet of love,
Inhaling and exhaling.
And I will guide you in a few affirmations of gratitude,
Leaving you with space to reflect.
I am grateful and thankful for my life.
I honor my sacred body temple.
I am thankful for the inner workings of my organs and my body.
I listen to my heart.
I appreciate my intuition and all of my senses.
I am grateful to be here on this planet right now.
I am thankful that I chose to come forth in this lifetime knowing that I have a purpose.
I am meant to thrive and be abundant and radiate.
I am thankful for the opportunity to be of service and add value today.
I am grateful for all of my lessons,
My teachers,
And all who have contributed to my learning and inner knowledge.
I honor and thank my family of origin no matter what I went through.
I know that all is for my highest good to learn and love.
I am grateful for my life and I am grateful for me.
And I am certainly grateful for all those that have touched my heart.
Take a few moments to reflect your soul and know that at any moment you can pause,
Turn your attention inward and onto what you're grateful for.
And that when you do that,
You are allowing yourself to be deeply connected to your highest self,
To your sacred self,
And to a life that is constantly unfolding with more and more goodness.
May you continue to find gratitude in all aspects of your life.
And I,
Dear friend,
Am so very grateful for you.
