And welcome to The Daily Insight.
My name is Julie Riesler,
And today we will be focusing on cultivating gratitude.
Making sure you are in a space that is quiet,
That is comfortable,
Where you can have these next 10 minutes for yourself to get peaceful and reconnected.
Find yourself seated with back support,
Or maybe you're lying down,
Coming home to your breath,
Inhaling,
Filling your belly with air and exhaling,
Allowing that life force,
That breath to push out.
And perhaps you're closing your eyes,
If comfortable,
Or gazing ahead.
And I invite you,
Dear friend,
To place one hand on your heart.
And we will start right here,
Right at the epicenter of our heart center space,
Full of love,
Full of life force.
Noticing your heartbeat beneath your hand,
Feeling that pulse,
That essence of who you are,
Moving throughout your body.
Let us begin with gratitude right now,
Right here,
For our precious,
Sacred heart.
Our hearts are constantly beating without any instruction,
Any awareness.
You don't need to give it orders.
It is constantly beating with love on your behalf.
And just feel how good it is to be connected to your heart center space,
To your heart that has constantly flowing love,
Radiance,
Pulsing your life force throughout your body.
And notice how you feel as you connect,
Appreciate,
And thank your heart for loving you from day one and literally providing love to all aspects of your being.
We often move through our days and moments on autopilot,
Asleep in our life,
Missing the opportunity to be grateful,
To stop,
Pause,
And feel the love that you have for your heart,
A sleep in our life,
Missing the opportunity to be grateful,
To stop,
Pause,
And feel our heart beating.
Take a few moments right now,
Notice what comes up for you as you think and appreciate your heart.
And perhaps you might speak to your heart,
Dear soul.
Your heart is a magnet of the highest form,
A magnet for love,
Light,
A connection.
What is it you would like to tell your heart?
How might you thank your heart for serving you?
Next,
I'd invite you to choose another part of your body.
Maybe it's your hand that's over your heart,
Maybe it's your body that you're not aware of,
Maybe it's your heart that you're not aware of.
I'd invite you to choose another part of your body,
Maybe it's your hand that's over your heart,
Maybe it's your ears listening to this meditation,
Maybe it's your mouth that has taken a breath since the day you were born.
It could be any aspect of your body,
This temple that we live in often forget about and take for granted.
Find something that you are so very grateful for and just picture that part of your body and I invite you to give it love and appreciation.
And maybe internally you speak to it,
Maybe you say thank you.
So so and as you sit here in appreciation for who you are,
Know that you can come back to this meditation,
To this practice,
To this free resource of always connecting to you and yourself,
Appreciating any aspect of yourself.
Notice how you feel now in your body,
Notice the sensations,
How good it feels to be in alignment,
Connected to who you are,
To feel grateful and I invite you to think of something else in your life,
Anything that you would like to honor and say thank you for,
Anything in your life.
It could be a pet,
A spouse,
Child,
Your home,
Someone special,
An object.
Picture that item,
That person,
Place or thing and give it your love,
Attention and appreciation.
Bring gratitude to whatever it is that you choose.
That you choose.
So beautiful.
And I ask and invite you to notice what happens internally in your internal landscape,
In the atmosphere inside.
Notice how you feel in this shorter meditation already,
When you focus on what you can be thankful for and where does that show up,
Dear friend?
Is that a lightness?
Does your heart feel warmer?
Maybe there's tingling in your belly.
See,
When we focus on gratitude and appreciation,
We shift our consciousness,
We elevate our own mindset and beliefs.
We raise our vibration and become at one with the same frequency of gratitude,
Of appreciation,
Which is very similar to joy and peace.
