Ho'oponopono meditation may help with difficult emotions or physical challenges with self or others. The practice invites in forgiveness and is aligned to 'making things right, or correcting a misunderstanding,' but it more correctly translates as an empathetic based equivalent of 'I understand all sorrows,' and works to restore a sense of balance from an ancestral perspective, for ourselves as well as with others. Tingsha bells sound 7 times at the end to represent the 7 dhatus of the body.

Transcript

Hoʻoponopono is a Hawaiian practice.

It can be used in meditation,

Mindfulness,

Journaling or awareness.

It can help bring about a deeper level of reconciliation,

Forgiveness and ease.

You could start in a seated position or lying down.

You could bring to mind something that you're working with within yourself or even another person.

You bring the situation into your awareness that might be causing you discomfort,

Trouble in the mind,

Just something that you can't figure out that you're still working with to understand what's present.

If you're working with yourself,

Notice yourself in the position that you are.

Notice your body.

Notice yourself from the space of the heart,

Place in the heart where the true self resides.

Fold your hands over the space of your heart,

Left over right or right over left,

You choose.

Affirm your intention to notice yourself wholly and deeply.

Say and acknowledge,

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

Notice yourself from the place of your heart.

Notice what's present in the mind,

An aspect with which you're wishing to work with within yourself or with another person.

Notice what's present.

Bring to awareness,

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

Feel the heartbeat underneath your hands in the body.

Know as you notice these words,

This intention for inviting in deeper understanding and lightness.

Notice how the heartbeat may shift and change as this message and intention moves into and around the body.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

Thank you.
