Welcome to this guided meditation to set an intention for your day.
Begin by making yourself comfortable.
You can take a few moments to settle into the space.
Perhaps placing a cushion under your sit bones or making any other adjustments that invite your body to relax.
Roll your shoulders back.
Notice the opening in your chest.
Soften all the little muscles in your face.
Find some length in your spine and close your eyes.
Become aware of your breath.
Notice the sensation of the breath coming in through your nose,
Filling up your whole body and gently releasing.
With each breath,
Feel that you are becoming more and more present.
Present in your body,
Present in this moment,
Here and now.
You may notice that without any effort,
Your breath is becoming slower and deeper.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold the breath at the top and slowly release.
On your next inhale,
You can start to bring both palms over top of the heart center in the middle of your chest.
As you take a few deep breaths into the heart center,
Notice the sensation of your heartbeat underneath your palms.
With your attention in the heart center,
You can set an intention for your day.
Your intention can be something you want to focus on throughout the day or something that you would like to call into your life.
Some examples could be setting the intention to keep the heart open,
To be aware of new opportunities or to live out the day as the dream version of yourself.
Spend the next few moments setting an intention that resonates with you today and feel how this intention feels in your body.
Imagine that the feeling of this intention is emanating from your heart center.
As you take your next breath in,
Breathe into the heart center to activate this intention.
Inhale,
Hold,
Exhale.
Again,
Take a deep breath in,
Hold,
Slow exhale.
Last time,
Inhale,
Hold at the top,
Release and let it all go.
Feel the spaciousness that you have created inside you.
Then shift your awareness to the space around you.
You can invite some gentle movement into your body.
As you open your eyes and find yourself back in the space you started,
Remain aware.
Anytime you notice your mind wandering throughout the day,
Remember your intention.
You can always take a refreshing breath into the heart to re-center and ground yourself in the present moment.
