To keep you and your partner on the same page,
Here's a breathing exercise for couples to help build those good vibes together.
Practice this when you'll both be able to concentrate without distractions.
Lie facing each other,
Put one hand on each other's heart center,
And close your eyes.
Practice even count breathing together by agreeing on a count that won't cause strain.
Five counts is good for most people.
Together breathe in through your noses for five counts.
Both of you should count mentally,
No one should count out loud.
Hold your breath for five counts and then exhale through your noses for five counts.
This is one round.
Do this together for five rounds,
Breathing in sync.
Even count breathing will help you synchronize your breath to each other.
I'll lead you through the first round at a count of five.
Inhale two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Exhale two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Practice four more rounds together.
You After you've done five rounds,
Drop that practice and breathe naturally.
Release any lingering tension.
Slowly sync your natural breathing patterns together by paying attention to each other's rhythms.
If someone laughs or speaks,
Don't judge each other.
Just go back to focusing on each other's breath.
You you you you Enjoy each other.
Enjoy the joint relaxation this can bring.
