Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
My name is Joy.
Today's theme is gratitude.
Let's become comfortable here now,
Adjusting the posture as needed to experience this relaxing meditation.
Take a moment now to just settle and relax.
Close the eyes.
When you regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things that you're thankful for.
You experience more positive emotions,
Feel more alive,
Sleep better,
Express more compassion and kindness and even have a stronger immune system.
Bring gratitude into your meditation today.
Become aware of your breath,
The life force energy sitting in gratitude for your breath right here,
Right now in this awareness.
Observing the natural flow of the breath.
Taking three deep breaths in and out,
Allowing yourself to relax more and more on each exhale.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm as you naturally relax easily and effortlessly.
Bring yourself into the present moment,
Right here,
Right now.
Allow the past to be the past,
The future to be the future.
Know you are safe in this moment right now.
Feel gratitude for this moment.
As you continue to focus on your breath,
Bring your awareness to the top of your head and allow relaxation to cascade down your face.
Allow your eyes to become heavy.
Relax your cheeks and your jaw.
Allow your tongue to find its place resting on the roof of the mouth.
Drop the shoulders and allow them to fall away from your neck.
Relax the arms and hands.
Return your focus to the breath and notice the rise and fall of the chest with each inhale and exhale.
If any thoughts or feelings arise,
Just return your attention to your breath,
Feeling gratitude for this life force energy.
Allow for relaxation in the belly and the hips.
Allow yourself to melt into the surface below,
Feeling grateful for being supported.
Relaxation now flows down through the legs all the way to the feet.
Relaxing now from the top of your head to the tips of your toes,
As if you're wrapped in a warm blanket of relaxation.
Continue to focus on the breath in this deep state of relaxation as you now relax into the breath and the intention of gratitude.
Gratitude for yourself,
For the present moment and for anything else or anyone else that comes to mind.
Feel into this gratitude with the relaxing loving energy of your breath as you breathe into the heart space.
Continue for a few moments breathing in and breathing out gratitude.
